First of all this place not only has a great menu, it has its meat market right there just passing the rest room on the other side! Food as. Fresh as it gets! I always get the 3 brisket tacos there ! Loaded with meat! The fries steak is huge! The distinctive flavor of that hamburger! Wow. On Fridays the English cut plate, that’s my sons favorite! Definitely recommend this place!

One of the Best Mexican restaurant in Laredo & very affordable! Sure, it’s a small restaurant with limited space to dine in but the food & quality are always on point. Not to mention the huge portion of food you get. There are plenty popular choices for breakfast, lunch & dinner plates & they look just as good the pictures hanging throughout the store. They also have daily breakfast & dinner plate specials, prices on those are unbeatable. We love coming to this place for breakfast & dinner when we can & it’s always an amazing experience. Can’t recommend it enough!

I am glad to see a special with the start and end date. That is a huge improvement. Before specials were hit and miss. They were on when you were there. The next time your looking forward to the special and it was not there anymore. The milanesa was delicious and tender. The last special I got was machacado con huevo was cold, but the sides were hot. Not sure what happened, ate here once and loved it but this time we got nothing but burnt old looking beef that was to greasy, inedible, and trust me we tried to eat it. The menudo smelt like it was cooked with sewage water, I had one bite and could not even eat it, same with the beans. I ordered 100 bucks worth of what looked like 3 day old food, all of it wasted and thrown away. I’m not in no way lying either, I feel bad about the review, but they ruined a costly dinner, I hope they do better but i’ll never know because I’m never going back. This order was Uber eats. Small spot with a weird lay out. You order/ pay at the counter which is also where the serves are exiting the kitchen. So you’re constantly in the way of the servers while you’re waiting to order.
But….other than that, a great experience. I ordered the guisada plate and fajita taco on the side. The guisada has a good flavor and the sides were flavorful. Rice and beans. The salsa is more pico and the chips are really good.
The star of the show was the fajita taco. Not only amazing flavor, but a huge taco. I took a tortilla from my plate and split the taco into two. So much carne. I will have to come back and try some breakfast tacos next trip.

This place is not that good to merit the rating it has.
First, it feels cramped and dirty in there. The menu plastered all over the wall is tacky and it makes the place feel smaller. Second, the service is terrible! We saw our server perhaps 2 maybe 3 times in the 90 we were there. And then we waited so long of the mediocre food. The milanesa was over cooked, over seasoned and way too thick to be milanessa! It was so over seasoned I had terrible heartburn. I don’t understand how you mess up suck a simple dish! Oh and then I wasn’t served the fries with the plate. They were given to me about 20 after. And oh man!!!! Why are those fries so thick. Thick cuts of potato like that will not crisp up, they’ll just “boil” in the outer crust. Who trained theses cooks???
The only good thing there is the price! 15.00 person is a great price.
So is you want cheap and dirty this is the place. The parrilladas are great in all honesty!
Perhaps I’ll give this place another go, but they need to make some changes to those sides as well. The rice is insipid and the beans tasted like old lard.
