Walking in I noticed there was alot of seating, restrooms to the left, coffee station next to the register with all the extras. I see there specials and immediately knew I was going for the Biscuits & gravy. Came with eggs, 2 bacon 2 sausage and hash browns. As you see in the photo it was alot of food. Biscuits and gravy are a hit & miss, its all about the gravy & Biscuits. Their biscuits were soft & fluffy, so good and gravy had a great flavor. I liked the the coffee station was self serve. Had a variety of sugars & creamer. To my surprise, a worker came over & made sure our coffee cups never got empty, that was really nice. It was pretty calm and quiet, very clean & atmosphere was welcoming. Id definitely go again
I didnt even get to eat my burrito until I got home because by the time I picked out the half a pound of Pico de gallo and jalapeños that were not listed on any menu, my fiance had completely finished her meal.
This restaurant is around the corner from where I work, and their breakfast burritos are a big hit with our staff, especially since many of the staff will work 10 hours shifts with barely a chance for a lunch break. One filling meal in the morning can be the difference between complete fatigue or being able to get your job done efficiently.
So there are $12 breakfast burritos are a godsend! Not being sad, over the last 3 or 4 months I’ve noticed that there seems to be a pervasive moldy smell to the whole establishment. It’s smells a little bit like an elder wearing a diaper that they’ve already urinated in and refused to remove. It’s really pungent and disgusting.
I don’t know where the odor is coming from, but it’s enough that I’ve decided I’m not going to eat here until the issue is addressed. The food is delicious, the staff are amazing, the atmosphere is homely, but until the odor is gone I’m genuinely scared about the safety of eating here.
Service: The the staff was extremely welcoming. Had a nice conversation with the cashier. My food came out with speed and accuracy.
Final word: one of my favorites in Long Beach. Great burger stand with many options. Will come back!
