Always looking for a decent breakfast place to try out. We stopped and did the buffet and I was not that impressed. Food was okay, I don’t think my wife and child liked it, I’m not to picky but for the price I wasn’t to impressed. Atmosphere was okay, I wish the place alhad better lighting and some updated fixtures and furniture, I’m sure it was clean just don’t get that feeling. Not my worst experience but I don’t think I will be going back. Servers were attentive to our needs and I think that’s what tipped the scale from a 2 to a 3.

My brother and I stopped in today for breakfast and the whole experience was amazing. The hostess was friendly, our waitress was personable and friendly, and the breakfast buffet was neverending and delicious. We will definitely be back again soon!

Buffet on Sunday was unbelievable price of about $11! Food was hot and varied. This place is a gem worth making my favorite haunt. Buffet starts at 8 am and we were the first to show up at 8:05 this morning. The staff was engage and upbeat. The food was excellent, the choices were not overly abundant but there is something for everyone. It’s worth checking out, you won’t be disappointed!

I’ve always enjoyed fabulous food at Alan’s — until today. I had 2 apps as a meal, the scallops wrapped in bacon & the lobster Ravioli. I’ve had each these before and really enjoyed them. Today they both tasted horribly freezer burnt. I couldn’t finish either one, and I was horribly disappointed. It will be a while before I go back.

Food is mediocre. If you’re going to grab some sliders or something fried at the bar, you should be good but as far as a meal it’s basic. They’re currently understaffed and the staff they have is overrun and stressed out. The last sit down I had in there, we had to keep finding the waitress and she ended up crying saying she was the only waitress for the whole restaurant (for her shift).
Tonight I ordered a “signature burger” online and when I got home it was a basic burger with only lettuce and tomato. I drove back down and they were going to “jazz up my burger ” to put the toppings I paid for on it: mushrooms, fried onions, bacon and sauce. I got home to find the bacon was still missing.
I’m just so disappointed and have been holding back from a review for a while as I would really love for this place to do well but it continues to go downhill.
Flavor of food is bland and the staff is too stressed to recognize their guests and give good, accurate service. It seems like more of a service to the staff to stay away as they find it hard to handle whoever does go in.

Very busy, but, they were able to accommodate a lot of people, especially families with very young children. That’s the main reason for four ⭐ s.
Service was good and the hostess was able to process my Restaurant.com e-gift certificate easily.
As soon as customers left, the tables were wiped down.
Food tasted good. Menu had all sorts of items to choose from. Kids menu available. I had the Ginger Salmon with red potatoes and squash. I had the Chocolate Explosion with chocolate ice-cream for dessert.
Wifi available.
The issues I had were: The salad that came with my dinner had brown lettuce in it. The portion to price for dinner was small. Dessert was just right ▶️. Drink size was good as well. Parking lot was a little crampt. The website said to call for reservations first. When I did, they didn’t take my name but said they could seat me. My first dessert choice was unavailable.
I had a good time. It was relaxing. I recommend this restaurant, but, be careful on the salad.
Seasonal outdoor ice-cream stand. I am very curious what their other flavors are like.

Autumn Chase
Had lunch here and got Tiramisu to go. They gave me the moldiest Tiramisu absolutely disgusting. How could this make it past anyone?! Makes me wonder how much they actually practice food safety, makes me sick just thinking about it! I want a refund!!! I will be calling tomorrow when they open.

Love it here, definitely the best restaurant in Boscawen. The bartenders are quick, friendly and knowledgeable. Food is great. They have TouchTunes so you can listen to your favorite music, and free popcorn as well.

We used Alan’s for wedding catering. They were great! The food was good, and the meat was very tender. It practically fell apart under your fork and knife. They were ready to go when we were, and kept things running smoothly with food and cake. I would definitely recommend them for others ordering food!
