Food was very tasty a bit pricey for breakfast though, but well worth it. We’re not locals but we take the 30 minute drive because it’s worth the trip. They have very good customer service and they served the food pretty quick. The owner as well as his staff are very friendly, quick and attentive. The menudo was really good. Warning it gets very busy. So be prepared to wait to be seated or get there early.

They say you can tell if a restaurant’s food is good by the amount of cars in it’s parking lot. Well, the parking lot was full, so my sister & I decided to try it out for lunch the other day. The food was great! The Mexican decor expresses a vibrant aesthetic.
They give you complimentary chips with salsa and a cup of delicious fideo(vermicelli with broth).
I had the fish tacos, topped with homemade fresh guacamole, which were excellent! My sister had the bistec tacos, which were also delicious. Each entree comes with a serving of beans and spanish rice.
Everything tasted very fresh. The wait staff were very friendly. There were even mariachis playing music while we were there. They sounded great!
This is by far the nicest, cleanest restaurant I’ve been in, yet, in the area. I highly recommend trying it.

The food was very good and very filling! I got the Barbacoa plate (#27). The staff was also very kind; they walked around all the time asking if we were good and refilling coffee. The flour tortilla were amazing! They were very soft, stretchy, and tasty.

The food was delightful The menudo was seasoned perfectly and very tender, the barbacoa plate was a generous portion and very tasty. Our table also had the All American Breakfast with the eggs sunny side up and cooked to exactly the right doneness, crispy bacon and hash browns with fluffy pancakes for dessert! Our waitress was very attentive and made sure we always had drinks filled. There was live music that was wonderful to listen to as well!

10/30 updating my review since last time.. spoke to management about my coffee that dasher spilled yesterday and reassured me ge will tell dasher to handle with care.. he also gave me a bigger size since ive been craving one since yesterday lol.. I highly recommend

Very tasty food. Our server Martha was very alert about our choices and served us that ways. We ordered chicken Fajitas, fish tacos& chicken something basically #66. Everything was very tasty and fresh. Their salsa was perfectly spicy and tasty to another level. It added flavour to everything we could possibly eat it with. Be it chips or rice. Loved it. We saw other small businesses getting support like the musicians and a dessert owner(he was selling fruit parfaits at the restaurants). It just displays goodwill of the owners. Appreciate that. Highly recommend this place if you are in the city. The guys who took our order, we missed out on taking his name, but he spoke very good English and communication was easy and clear. The Tacos were super soft & melted in mouth.

We’ve been systematically working our way through Mexican restaurants from San Benito, Harlingen, Brownsville and Los Fresno… Blanquitas wins in a few areas with its friendly wait staff, fabulous decorations and spicy dishes. We ordered the Mexican plate and Bistek ranchero. Loved the homemade corn tortillas and flavorful rice. The lemonade was sadly wanting… I added my fresh lime to it to try and doctor it up. The chips and salsa were also a bit bland. Overall it’s a win, and we’d definitely return to try other things on the menu.
