On our latest visit, we dove into a feast that never disappoints. The Spam & Eggs was a perfect blend of local flair and comfort—crisp Spam paired with flawlessly cooked eggs and a side of fluffy pancakes that practically melted with every bite. The Eggs and Bacon were spot-on, with the bacon crispy and the eggs cooked just how we like them. The Blueberry Pancakes, though, stole the show—loaded with fresh, juicy blueberries and made with real butter, they were light, fluffy, and pure bliss. The coffee was fresh and bold, tying it all together beautifully.
Everything tasted incredibly fresh, and that generous use of butter made every dish feel indulgent yet homey. It’s no surprise we keep coming back to this Dillingham location—it’s a reliable hit every time we’re on the island. If you’re craving a breakfast that’s both satisfying and full of flavor, this Original Pancake House is the place to go. Just note: the Ala Moana location has closed, so head to Dillingham for your fix!
The food came out fairly quickly. I ordered spam and eggs with rice. Eggs and rice were good. The spam was extremely undercooked.
My MIL ordered eggs, hashbrowns and Portuguese sausage. The hashbrowns were hash brown patties (would be nice if it was posted on the menu that they’re patties) but what made it disgusting was the taste of old oil that the hashbrown patties had. It was clearly fried in old oil that needed to be changed. And not just day old oil. It must’ve been a few days old. Completely disgusting. As we were eating, a cockroach walked by. We understand nature is nature so we laughed about it. The kicker was when MIL and I walked to the restroom to pee before leaving. The smell was sooo disgusting like sewage that our breakfast nearly came up. We immediately walked out without using the restroom, but it was so strong that we had to take zofran to alleviate the nausea. Overall. I’d rate this place a 0 if I could. The service and the coffee was good but I wanted breakfast not a coffee trip.
Never again. How these other reviews are good. I’ll never know. I was literally stumped by that.
