Food was very good. Service was great. Food was unexpectedly super high for me. I wasn’t expecting to pay so much for a dinner and a small peach cobbler. I couldn’t even tip it was just too high but It was delicious. Next time I come in I’ll be better prepared.

From the outside I thought it was nice so I decided to try it. Nice and clean inside. Very friendly and courteous staff but if you want an environment where you can have a conversation this is not it. The music was so loud my ears started hurting. I could barely give my order because I had to shout to be heard. If you are looking to just eat and listen to music loudly then this is the place for you. If you value your hearing go somewhere else.

Glad they opened back up, much bigger inside. My complaint, they really need to work on the side dishes. Greens need flavor, yams weren’t candied, take the sugar out of the dressing Please! Green beans & mac was just ok. The entrees were good. I’ve never thrown dressing or greens out before. This was my first time. I will go back for meat and breakfast items. Just do better on those main sides.

Went to Jay Cafe today to get carry out breakfast and waited 20 minutes before someone acknowledged we were there. Got two catfish breakfast with eggs and hash browns, The breakfast was terrible. Hash browns were both hard cooked and under cook. Catfish was hard and no seasoning. I was expecting a better come back but was highly disappointed.

I’m so glad you guys are back open. My only problem was the small salmon croquet for 17 bucks and 2 pc of catfish for 15. I couldn’t even finish my breakfast back in the day and when I say I’m a long time customer, I’m talking early 90s. I was pleased with the taste but very disappointed in the portion.

It’s very simple the son can’t cook, I mean he burned an omelette wth, also my partner order a chicken breakfast that they couldn’t finish because it wasn’t good chicken was salty, but service is excellent, the new expansion is nice, also it’s very cold, the hallway is warm the establishment is cold, the first thing a customer does is take of they coat no one here has there coat off it’s freezing, long as I been waiting the re opening I’ll grade this experience D-

I used to come to this place as a kid all the time. It was great soul food and awesome breakfast but now its just a disappointment. From the 10 dollar speaker set right behind blasting oldies, to mishandled orders and overly sweetned lemonade. This place has slid into a bit of a mess that has hastly prepared food and we were rushed out after completing our meal. And to top it all off, they took my improper meal and just threw the stuff i asked for on top. Not a great experience and will not be back. Core childhood memory destroyed

Husband couldn’t wait for the reopening. Went today terrible service waited 10mins before someone took our order. A couple came in 10 mins later, got there food before us even though we order basic the same thing. We wouldn’t have mine paying the over price on the food (slice of cake $7). The service spoiled it for us.

Ordered a baked chicken meal and a blt my total was 34 for a carry out that is ridiculous. I was stunned when she said that. They need to take down any old menus on their site. I will be going to Lilli Bells on telegraph for a good lunch special with goog food.

This Place was completely unorganized and dysfunctional their waiter that took my order. Told me I would get two salmon patties with my order and my order was to go when I got home I’ll open my meal and I only have one salmon patty in there. I called three times and the Business did not answer. We went straight to voicemail so I had to drive all the way back to the restaurant and when I asked the lady at the counter, why was my meal not what I told her I was gonna receive she said oh we only give you one salmon patty with that order so yeah I would never come back
