We had a very good dinner here. The foie gras and the soup were both delicious, and the entrecôte and scallops were perfectly cooked. There aren’t many options in the area, but this place turned out to be a safe and satisfying choice. I strongly recommend it.

We dine twice at Le Pre Sale during our stay at Mount St Michel. The first evening we ordered the duck foie gras as starter to share with two glasses of champagne (I wasn’t particularly impressed with the champagne as it tasted more like an average crémant) followed by the duck fillet and the lamb. As a wine we ordered a bottle of Saint-Emilion grand cru, this wine was superb. We finished the meal by ordering the local cheese platter and being in Normandy we had to order the 24 years old calvados as a digestive. Overall a very good experience.
The second evening we skipped the starters and we ordered the entrecote and the lamb, I actually preferred the lamb on the second evening because they served a tender cut compared with the previous evening. As dessert we ordered the local apple tart, it was ok but I wouldn’t order it again.
Professional and attentive service. It’s definitely a restaurant to visit if you are staying in one of the hotels in the area.

To enjoy hiking on Mont Saint-Michel, you need to get enough sleep, good nutrition, and be prepared to forget all the worries of daily life and enjoy Mont Saint-Michel as it unfolds before you.

I usually eat very little and not much meat.
However, after spending a day on Mont Saint Michel, I was very hungry and enjoyed foie gras, steak, and Normandy cheese.

The food was delicious.
There were many customers at the restaurant, but the waiters were very friendly and helpful.

I highly recommend Restaurant Le Pré Salé for hiking Mont Saint Michel.

Had a great dinner at the restaurant, they made room for us with a late booking that was made by our hotel (Gabriel) that we stayed at.

Food was fantastic, we got 4 lamb mains. Absolutely superb.

Le Pré Salé was the worst meal I’ve had in Europe, and we’ve dined in over 30 restaurants across four cities on this trip. I had the red mullet, and I couldn’t even eat it—the smell was awful. My husband, who is a saint, gave me his chicken, but even that was bland and unremarkable. My child had the lamb and didn’t enjoy it either—and he’s usually not picky at all.

We had an 8:45 PM reservation but weren’t seated until 9:15, and our food didn’t arrive until 10:00 PM. The service was slow and the food just didn’t live up to the hype or reviews we read beforehand.

I really don’t understand the good ratings. I wouldn’t return, and unfortunately, I can’t recommend it.

A suitable place for dinner where prior reservation is a must.
Both the Entrecote de Veau and the Piece Agneau were very tasty and impeccably cooked.
The service was quite slow, but the restaurant was full.

Good food. Oysters were pretty tasty, lamb tasted great with garlic sauce and a hash brown potatoes like on the side.
I was “offered” a Calvados to go with the espresso, but I had to pay it at the end.
The crème brûlée is pretty good, they say it has “vanilla seeds” but it’s basically small bits of merengue.

The lamb was amazing, you cannot miss it, I recommend medium cooked. Oyster appetizer was also good. The salmon appetizer was ok, if you like raw salmon fillets in non-Japanese style. The service was also good and quick. This is a very good place for dinner.

Foods are great! We came here twice. The only thing is bad is there’s one server that was very slow and taking our order without asking how our meat cooked. Our first visit we had been asked how our meat cooked and we had it medium rare, it was delicious. Our second visit, the server didn’t ask this question and we had been served with well-done meat. Also, same server, we asked for the bill and it came 15 minutes later after I asked twice.

We visited Le pre sale after our visit to Mt Saint Michel, I made a booking earlier in advance through the official site – the booking was easy to navigate although it’s in French.

We went for the set menu at 45EUR which we find it fair as most of the restaurant around the area charge similar price. Their portion is generous so I am happy with paying this price

The pre sale lamb is a must try!!!! This is the best lamb I have ever had in my life – it’s so soft and juicy. My husband is not a fan of lamb and I gave him a bite to try and he liked it as well.
