The food at Ray’s is amazing but compared to other options, it has a touristy feel and expensive for the options that I chose. I thoroughly enjoyed my fluffy clam chowder and my medium sized lobster roll. I have zero complaints on either. They have a very extensive menu with something for everyone’s taste buds. My server was a bit lacking. She never came to check to ask if I needed a refill and my glass was empty. She also brought the check before asking if I wanted anything else. She wasn’t very friendly. Not cool. The water view was beautiful. They have a gift shop so if you need to pick up a souvenir, they’ve got it!!

We always have a great meal here and today was no exception. We tried the fluffy Clam Chowder for the first time and it was so good! So much lobster! I had fried scallops and my husband had the 2 way with scallops and clams. Everything was delicious and we almost ate our whole plates. I had a Rum Punch, which was delicious and my husband had a Maine Lunch IPA that he loves. Server was very friendly and we got to sit on the deck and look over the ocean. Another great experience here and we will be back again!

For years we’ve read reviews about Ray’s and how wonderful it is. When we’ve driven by it’s tough finding a place to park. Out for a ride. Saw a place to park. Thought we would give Ray’s a try. It was okay. No different than any other fried seafood place. Portions were satisfying.

A great place for fresh and well prepared seafood. Many seating options including inside, patio and roof deck. Potion size is great and price is comparable with most similar restaurants. Full bar offering and several appetizers to get started with.

I went on a Sunday I had a special 4 inch lobster roll with sweet potato fries and an iced tea, all my food was delicious I was waited on almost as soon as I sat down and my food came within 10 minutes, the upstairs seating was a very relaxed atmosphere with comfortable seating and all specials were displayed and easily seen. The food was generously portioned and my waitress was very polite. The decor was very nautical all around. There is a wheelchair entrances throughout and parking was not as problem. Takeout is also available. The wide menu of seafood is easy to read on a paper placemat. The restaurant also has outdoor seating that overlooks the ocean that is open on weather agreeable days. I would go here again.

One of the best seafood restaurants on the Seacoast. Best lobster bisque. Period. Portions were awesome, butter was everywhere it should be, all the fish was super fresh and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend the lemon pepper scallops. None of us have ever had something like that and we all agreed they were delicious and unique. Baked haddock, baked salmon, and fried seafood medley all were exactly as you’d want it.

Stopped in on a Saturday for lunch. Parked on the street as the modest lot was already full. The restaurant has an upstairs level with nice views of the ocean and a downstairs level as well. Also, a full bar area. We enjoyed the senior plate of fish and chips and were very pleased with the quantity and quality of the food. I especially liked the coleslaw and tartar sauce. Prices are reasonable for being right on the coast, and service was okay. A wide variety of seafood choices are available, and there are clean restrooms for customers. Even a small gift shop. Overall, I would go back as I think this is a nice local joint.

Ray’s is worth the wait to get a table. Sit on the outside deck for beautiful ocean views or get takeout and sit at the picnic tables near the marsh. The service is awesome despite how busy they are at all times.
The seafood is always fresh and delicious. PLUS – the bartenders serve the best Bloody Mary in the area. The Two-Way Combo is one of our favorites. The portion size is big enough to serve two people for only $31. The Calamari was fresh and fried to perfection. If you are looking for good food along the coast – I highly recommend Ray’s!

Warning, whatever you do don’t come here. Horrible experience. The server was nice but that doesn’t make up for the poor service we received. She barely checked in with us but checked in with this other family across from us at least 6 times. We basically had to get plates and utensils by ourselves too. It might as well been self serve because all she did was take our order and bring us food and the check. We had to wait 30 min to even place our order because it started raining. I understand she had to help move people downstairs but she disappeared after helping people and didn’t come back for another 10 minutes. I’ve worked in a restaurant before, and this behavior is unacceptable.
The service was not the only unacceptable part but the food and the prices too. The lobster came with no gloves so we sliced our finger trying to open them (this is the only place I’ve been to that hasn’t provided gloves). The sweet potato fries were hard and not completely cooked/cooked unwell. Also extremely pricey; I understand seafood is expensive but this was way more expensive than other restaurants in the area (save your money and go literally anywhere else). I got a hot lobster roll and it was $34. I’ve attached a picture. It was TINY and half filled. I had to eat a bunch of fries and some of other peoples meals to feel full. AND it tasted old and mushy. How does one get lobster to taste bad? The price for lobster is $9 a pound and this roll was $34 for 4 oz. We also got the coconut shrimp which was 5 tiny pieces of shrimp for $11. It tasted like the frozen ones I get from the supermarket for half the price. These prices are highway robbery and I would be ashamed if I ran this restaurant and charged my customers so much for mediocre food.
Save your money, taste buds, and time and go somewhere else.
