I’ve been here once before with my husband and recommended my best friend to try it on our mini coastal trip.
Gracie started us off with a complementary loaf of bread(very generous amount-like a whole loaf) My friend and I order 4 items: 2 appetizers and 2 entrées. For the apps we got the burratta and garlic cloves. (Fair warning garlic cloves on the messier side-to eat)
I went for the shrimp and scallops but it wasn’t for me, and Gracie immediately picked up on it and although I am very adamant about not returning food she reassured me she rather get me something I would fully enjoy and so I picked the ravioli (a better choice for me). My friend chose the Chicken Picatta(7/10 for her review).
Portions are huge, prices are fair!
Location is very close to the coast, lots of parking. We went around dinner without reservation on a Tuesday, no wait to be seated. Restaurant was moderately busy at that time.
If you want a nice Italian dinner after strolling the beach, I’d give Rosa a try.
Attentive service from start to finish. Friendly but not pushing the pace.
Sorry could not curate the pics…food too delicious to wait. Warm bread is to die for. Spinach manicotti done red/white style was warm comforting and very flavorful. Chicken piccata tender nicely seasoned with just right linguini. Braised short ribs fall off the bone delicious. All amazing yes take home boxes required.
I will admit we were a little under dressed for the environment, but overall, the experience was pleasant.
The service was fantastic. Our server was attentive, helpful, and responsive. She read off the specials for the evening, and one of my friends ordered her suggestion, the stew if I recall.
The pricing is reasonable for an upscale restaurant overall. Our food was great. I ordered the Bolognese, which was absolutely phenomenal!
The food came very fast as well, I really can’t find any complaints about this place, great food for fair prices.
Go check this place out if you want good Italian!
For clarity’s sake:
1) Before this, they did get my side pasta order wrong. I sent it back. I wanted angel hair, not the standard penne which I received.
2) The manager, while he was going through my food, did offer to make a fresh chicken parm plate. At that point, I had lost my appetite from how I was treated so I declined.
In the future we will be avoiding Rosa’s. The food was OK but the customer service is very lacking. And since you are paying close to $40-$50 person, I would expect more.
