First off can I give a shout out to Gracie our server. She was top notch. Knowledgeable, attentive, quick, and understanding.
I’ve been here once before with my husband and recommended my best friend to try it on our mini coastal trip.
Gracie started us off with a complementary loaf of bread(very generous amount-like a whole loaf) My friend and I order 4 items: 2 appetizers and 2 entrées. For the apps we got the burratta and garlic cloves. (Fair warning garlic cloves on the messier side-to eat)
I went for the shrimp and scallops but it wasn’t for me, and Gracie immediately picked up on it and although I am very adamant about not returning food she reassured me she rather get me something I would fully enjoy and so I picked the ravioli (a better choice for me). My friend chose the Chicken Picatta(7/10 for her review).

Portions are huge, prices are fair!
Location is very close to the coast, lots of parking. We went around dinner without reservation on a Tuesday, no wait to be seated. Restaurant was moderately busy at that time.

If you want a nice Italian dinner after strolling the beach, I’d give Rosa a try.

First impressions matter. We opened the door and immediately received a genuinely warm greeting. Less than 10 minute wait for a table for 3 – lucky for us as wait at that other place up the street was 2+ hours. Easy choice to come here.

Attentive service from start to finish. Friendly but not pushing the pace.

Sorry could not curate the pics…food too delicious to wait. Warm bread is to die for. Spinach manicotti done red/white style was warm comforting and very flavorful. Chicken piccata tender nicely seasoned with just right linguini. Braised short ribs fall off the bone delicious. All amazing yes take home boxes required.

The staff was very warm and friendly. I really enjoyed their clam chowder, and the vongole was one of the best I’ve ever had with lots and lots of clams. The pizza, however, was pretty underwhelming.

Great Italian restaurant that has been there for years. The food is still good as always. Fresh bread is delicious. Lamb chops were delicious.

Server was a delight, music was really loud causing guest to talk louder so that was a disappointment. I ordered the 4 cheese tortellini and it was yummy. My husband ordered the chicken picata and thr chicken breast was over cooked and dry, no lemon flavor at all other than the thin slice of lemon on the pasta, was more like a wine sauce. My Manhattan was delicious!

I was up in Pismo Beach on a business trip and stumbled across this place because all of us wanted some great Italian food.

I will admit we were a little under dressed for the environment, but overall, the experience was pleasant.

The service was fantastic. Our server was attentive, helpful, and responsive. She read off the specials for the evening, and one of my friends ordered her suggestion, the stew if I recall.

The pricing is reasonable for an upscale restaurant overall. Our food was great. I ordered the Bolognese, which was absolutely phenomenal!

The food came very fast as well, I really can’t find any complaints about this place, great food for fair prices.

Go check this place out if you want good Italian!

It was a Wednesday night, a delightful choice with no reservation needed. We chose to sit outside, embracing the lovely evening. The warm, delicious bread, served with butter and olive oil, was a perfect start. I indulged in the Chicken Marsala while my date enjoyed the Penne Bolognese—both dishes exceeded our expectations. We didn’t have room for dessert this time, but it only means our next adventure here will be even sweeter.

I had always driven by but never made a point to stop there. Decided to take my wife out for her birthday. The moment we walked in I knew it was going to be a wonderful evening and it was. Bernardo our server was very personable and gave us some suggestions on what to order. The rest of the staff also deserve some recognition as well. We definitely will come back.

We have been going to Rosa’s for year. My mom, who lives locally, frequently goes there. During dinner last night, the manager treated me like a 5 year old kid and embarrassed me. I ordered Chicken Parm. It looked like it did not have mozzarella cheese on it. I scraped the sauce and still did not see cheese. I asked them to redo it with cheese. The manager came back with my plate and proceeded to show me (in front of everyone in the restaurant) there was cheese, scrapping my chicken to make a point. Literally going through all my food. It was embarrassing. And I felt like I was being treated like a spoiled child. It would have been so easy to just put a piece of mozzarella on top of my chicken, melt it and be done. Instead, the manager felt he needed to show me there was cheese on it at my table. Is this great customer service?

For clarity’s sake:

1) Before this, they did get my side pasta order wrong. I sent it back. I wanted angel hair, not the standard penne which I received.
2) The manager, while he was going through my food, did offer to make a fresh chicken parm plate. At that point, I had lost my appetite from how I was treated so I declined.

In the future we will be avoiding Rosa’s. The food was OK but the customer service is very lacking. And since you are paying close to $40-$50 person, I would expect more.
