The inside of this place needs a bit updating as it is on the old-fashioned side. The staff here seemed pretty nice, but the food was just okay. I had a steak and cheese hoagie that wasn’t too bad, but the cheese on my chili cheese fries had some weird taste. It could have possibly been some oil. My friend said the chicken was okay as well. While waiting for my food, I did notice the waitress there constantly licking her finger to turn the page of her paper pad. Luckily, she didn’t handle our food.

Got seated quickly. Menus are at the tables and fairly extensive, diner style range.
Went with a Corned Beef sandwich. It was a touch dry but warm and tasty. Russian dressing & pickles on the side (I like that).
My server ended every sentence and question with either “my dear” or “hon”. (That got old REAL fast.) And a barely polite-sounding laugh punctuated the end of nearly every interaction, including those with other staff. Odd.
The tables could use some work, almost all are well worn. Some of the seats are, too.
I wouldn’t avoid returning but I’d prefer to go somewhere else.

Service was excellent. The food was alright. The place does need a face lift but the dining area was kept really clean. The restrooms needed cleaning. The place reminds me of an older Ram’s Horn restaurant. All that being said I would dine here again when we are in the area.

Great food! Excellent service! Love their homemade lemon ands rice soup in addition to their Coney Island hotdogs. My favorite is the Coney Island Special. My husband loves their pastrami too. My mother enjoys their breakfast too along with their breakfast menu.

Gus sure is losing customers left and right use to be a regular few years back but got some nasty chili dogs about year ago . decided to give it another try yesterday went with my husband sunday 11am empty parking lot should of been my first clue run go to back to juliane’s no stayed each got a breakfast waitress bring butter and jelly to table along with 2 long red hairs mine is blonde waitress was brown ok wanted to leave because i lost my appetite but husband said just eat and we won’t come back ok. well ate it was ok eggs those expensive eggs were dry anyways i noticed that 2.00 was added on i ask what that was she said anything with egg u order its 1.00 more lol i mean i ordered eggs for breakfast if this isn’t a joke ! i can see if u ordered a hamburger and wanted a fried egg on it ok 1.00 more . well let’s just say they don’t care about customer service some young punk girl put her 2 cents in out of the blue she yelled don’t come back here anymore . “wow” great job hiring that girl . i said thank you we won’t be returning. i’m telling Old man Gus is probably turning in his grave knowing his restaurant has gone down the tubes !! I will continue to go to juliane’s every weekend . They r a 10 on a scale where gus’s is a -10 negative. watch for hair and extra money added on your bill .

Went there for breakfast and let me tell you this place needs and update. Very dirty the wait staff was unprofessional. I ordered a ham and cheese omelette with hash browns. The omelette was ok but the hash brown were frozen I told them to re make them and they did same thing frozen and soggy. I told the waitress again and she just shrugged her shoulders.
