I am very impressed with Dempsey’s. The gumbo was amazing and my friend who got a shrimp po boy said that was also very great. Our server was so sweet and attentive. Overall, wonderful experience.

This is a small place worth big flavors. The staff is very friendly and attentive. We had the roast beef and shrimp po boy, the boulanger, and the stuffed baked potato. All were amazing! We made the drive from New Orleans and it was worthy of the drive. We’ll definitely be back.

This place has been on our list to try for sometime. I’ve always heard good things. The gumbo is very good and the catfish was nice portions. I prefer a little darker gravy and gumbo (just personal preference, not a criticism of theirs). The green beans were absolutely amazing!! I think next time I’ll try the catfish poboy, as it seems to be the specialty. I do highly recommend giving this place a try. Definitely a local favorite.

The staff is exceptional. The hostess is sweet and authentic. The food definitely has a homemade taste. The combination of herbs and spices was excellent in each dish. The food is made to order so patience is the key. If possible let’s support great local restaurants across the country.

Shout out the front counter staff! I needed 2 quarts of Seafood Gumbo to take with me to Colorado. Not only did they accomodate my request and gave me cold gumbo to transport, they packaged it up and provided ice so I could have it on the airplane and the long flight. It was packaged so well that none of it spilled in my checked luggage. Once again they went above and beyond. Not only is their food absolutely amazing, their staff is top notch! I will continue to make a trip there on my business trips. Thanks again for great service.

The hubs and I came in town from Missouri for his work conference. We’re heading home tomorrow, but had to try some local food before we left out. This place was amazing! Our waitress, Elsis, was the sweetest thing, and the food was fantastic! I’m so glad the portions are huge, cause we definitely have leftovers ♥️

Cute little place with amazing food that packs a punch. I chose this place for the gumbo and boudin balls and we were not disappointed in anything! it was a little out of the way for us, but totally worth it!

The food was fantastic. The only thing that I didn’t like was the fries they were limp and soggy. But the fish was perfectly seasoned light and crisp. The shrimp were excellent. I have never tasted fried okra that was so fresh like they just picked it from the garden. The gumbo is awesome and full of flavor. Everything that I have tried is just perfect with the exception of the fries. The service was great and it is a great value for the money.
