Excellent food & service with great prices and a beautiful view! We had Macadamia nut encrusted Chicken sandwich with Caesar salad and the Crab club sandwich, very nice presentation and taste, very fresh.
We did not have reservations on a Sunday evening and had to wait 30 minutes. I would recommend making reservations though. Also, ample parking.
Update: We went for breakfast on a Saturday at 8:30, no wait at all, but we were quite surprised at the sparse breakfast menu. Not too many choices.
Service was excellent and food was just okay, no big deal.
3 stars for the ambience, sever lack of decor and menu choices.

Tonight their service was on the slow side. Our reservation was for 6:30 , we got seated 10 minutes later. We waited over 45 minutes after placing our order for our food. We understood they were busy and looked like they were short on staff. Our waitress also served as a bartender. All in all our food was delicious and our opu’s were happy.

External appearance of the restaurant is not at all appealing, but it doesn’t matter once you get inside.
Indoor and outdoor seating is available. Outdoor dining has a great view.

Awesome service the waiting wasn’t too long our food was very satisfying and drinks were yummy. Definitely will be returning for another weekend of food and drinks I had the Prime rib, my hubby had the opakapaka, and my sis had the shrimp. Not to mention the Kona coffee mud pie. From the outside this restaurant is completely uninspiring. Inside it’s not much more than that but the food seems reasonably priced and the portions were large. The evening I visited there was a large local crowd and the special on the menu was the Brontosaurus ribs or actually I think it’s listed as short ribs.
Service was friendly enough but it’s not first class. But that’s probably not why you were here anyway. This Cafe is attached to a golf course so it’s a convenient place to dine after your time on links. For me it was just easy parking easy access and an overall good meal.

Celebrating my Mom’s 79th birthday and we have a wonderful experience here. It was my first time going to the ” Dunes” but my mom’s probably about 6th visit. It is one of her favorite places and we were enjoying her gift certificate from Christmas! It was a little warmer during the day so requesting sitting outside was excellent. We enjoyed a wonderful Breeze and you move of the golf course as my pictures will show. I was really happy with the quality and customer service I’m actually going to say that I recommend this place more than Mama’s Fish House which I feel is so overrated. ( I went with a friend recently and had just an ok food and quality I gave 3 stars.. we spent $100 on a salad and 1 meal. ) At this place we had high quality seafood meals and spent less than $50 plus and amazing lychee mojito!!

As my husband and I try to find our new Anniversary restaurant, we opted for this one this year. While it isn’t romantic in the least, the service was excellent and the food good. Overall, it was a decent experience. I had the Macadamia crusted mahi mahi with a lemon caper sauce, with the Passion Fruit mai tai ( I should have had the regular) and he had the prime rib special.

Good breakfast place. It is a short drive from airport. Food options are good. It is adjacent to a golf course with beautiful view of mountains. Service is fast. Authentic Hawaiian breakfast is available.
