Eat. Drink. Be Happy. What does it take to be a regular at Bar Louie Carmel? An enjoyment of the craft and the desire to experience something out of the ordinary. From our Chicago roots, we’ve always known that having a comfortable place to hang out, get great drinks, scratch food, awesome music, and the best service was something special. We create every Bar Louie with all of that in mind. It might not seem like an easy task, but we want to make sure you have a great time, any time you decide to come in. We could make it easier on ourselves, but we live for the quality and uniqueness of what we create. From our handcrafted everything bar, to our scratch everything kitchen, it’s in our DNA to be the best.

It’s a bar, has outdoor patio seating. Decorated nicely; currently has Halloween decor.
Like others have reviewed, this location does not honor the specials other Louie’s have and their menu is different.
I only gave 4 stars because Sunday at 5:30, the football game on the TVs so loud, we couldn’t hear each other. There weren’t many people at this time, so they could have turned the volume down a bit.
Parking outback, then very short walk through the tunnel to get inside. The burgers and tots were very good. Spinach & artichoke dip was good.

The bacon cheddar burger was good, but there wasn’t really anything that set it apart from any other non-fast food restaurant or burger joint. I’d eat there again, but I wouldn’t necessarily go out of my way get there. The loaded tots were phenomenal. A little more cheese would’ve been nice, but even without it, the flavor was great. I ordered online, so I didn’t deal much with the staff, but I have to give them credit because my food was ready when they said it would be ready with no waiting.

Went to BL to watch IU vs Mia football game with a big 20p party. Was expecting average service b/c BL was fully booked. Yet we had a great experience! Mostly thanks for Neka, our outstanding server! Also shout outs to kitchen staff for getting food orders promtly. We’ll be back!

Hubby’s Bourbon BBQ burger and loaded fries were tasty. Solid portions and everything was well made and fresh.
My Deep South Mac ‘n Cheese was only okay. Lighter om the cheese sauce than I’d hoped but what was there tasted good. Chicken was unfortunately dry but at least was okay with the pasta/sauce and there was plenty of it.
Wasn’t really a fan of the chips and dip trio. The dips themselves were standard. Chips didn’t taste fresh but still usable.
Overall will still go back to give it another shot!

I previously left a negative review due to a bad service experience, and honestly it made me sad because I’ve been a customer for almost 8 years and I didn’t want to stop coming to a place I’ve enjoyed for so long.
Since then, I’ve been back several times and the improvement has been very noticeable. The service has been really good, attentive and consistent, and the food continues to be a strong point. Bar Louie proves that just because it’s a bar doesn’t mean the food is second-rate—quite the opposite.
I’m glad I can update my review and recognize when a place listens and improves. Bar Louie is back to meeting expectations, and these 5 stars are well deserved. I’ll definitely keep coming back.

We had a great experience on Tuesday! We had a wonderful server, Neka, who was really fun to banter with as well as being very helpful with our drink order and questions with the menu. We were also excited to learn that is was $8 burger night! The food, old fashioned’s and especially our server made the experience really fun on a cold Tuesday.

“Bar Louie commented under my review almost 2 months ago and never got back to me. I even sent a follow up email on 6/30/25 and still have not heard from “customer service” since they asked me which location it was on 6-9-25. DONT BE FOOLED BY THEIR RESPONSE ON NEGATIVE REVIEWS, ITS CLEARLY JUST FOR “SHOW” THEY REALLY DONT RESOLVE ANYTHING. STEER CLEAR. (SCREENSHOT ATTACHED)
Not the best experience but the cocktails were on point!!! The waitress keshawndra and Morgan were very pleasant as well. My sister and I visited this location as I had received a notification from the “In-Kind” app to receive $25 off of $50 purchase. (FYI They did not honor the coupon, the only location that doesnt) I had not known we had a Bar Louie as we are from the Chicago area and there location is always nice!
Then we saw that it was girls night out on Thursday and we’re super happy about the $6 drink specials clearly advertised on the Carmel locations website. The waitress informed us that they don’t do the drink special at this location and they had other people come in with the same issue.
This is AFTER we ordered like 3 drinks each AND food that had not came out yet. I asked for the manager but he refused to come out at first and sent another server to try and handle it. Mind you this manager c was walking around talking to everyone in bar area except us the entire time we were there and disappeared to the back once the issues arose. He finally came out after I refused to take the food that came out and explained that the owner does not acknowledge the in-kind app or the daily drink specials. There was nothing he could do and he also stated this has happened several times. I asked if they could put a note on door to avoid this happening in future…still no sign on door but still false advertising online. Completely ridiculous. In the end AFTER repeatedly telling us how he wont honor anything he let us keep the food ( which wasn’t great unfortunately).

Great experience at Bar Louie Carmel. The vibe was relaxed, drinks were on point, and service was excellent. Shoutout to Amerelle behind the bar — she was friendly, attentive, and clearly knows what she’s doing. Drinks were made well, conversation was easy, and she made us feel welcome without hovering.
Definitely one of the better Bar Louie experiences I’ve had. Will be back.

Always love visiting Bar Louie. The burger sliders are AMAZING! Juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly but so is everything on the menu! Great portion size, fast service, and a fun atmosphere. Definitely my go to spot in Carmel!
