We ate for $16 an adult, and it was not a day they were running a special. Check their website for specials- we did and will likely return for Valentine’s Day!
Menu Highlights:
Signature fried chicken, collard greens, creamy mac & cheese, and soul food sides.
Sweet finale with peach cobbler and other homemade desserts.
Bonus: Weekend breakfast buffet with biscuits, grits, and sausage.
Experience: Casual and warm, ideal for group dining, family celebrations, or Sunday meals.
Food is southern comfort. Wings are awesome as are the fried green tomatoes. So many options to try.
If you are looking for a unique dining experience, this is the place you must try. We’ll definitely be going back.
My family visits frequently , sadly the quality of customer service has declined…
I understand food cost as I have worked in the restaurant industry for 16years.
After me mentioning the issue again they finally put out fresh unfortunately after they said no and laughed at the mentioning of fresh food.
Really liked this place wish they would have made a better effort…
Don’t forget to leave room for dessert
There are so many awesome things to say about The Carriage House that I don’t know where to start… I’m going to just dive in!
First, the location.
The setting is gorgeous and absolutely screams WELCOME to our place. From the moment I stepped foot inside I was immediately covered in the warmest most welcome feeling. It didn’t feel like a restaurant. It felt like exactly what it is, someone’s former home that a new owner loves just as much.
Speaking of the owner, what a privilege it was to meet him. He and his wife have done an outstanding job. You feel the love they have poured into this place. He is extremely knowledgeable about the history of the home and tells it in an attention keeping way.
The staff! The amazing staff. What wonderfully happy people! And I mean happy, so happy they make you happy. Every single person I passed had the best attitude and smiled not because it was their job, but because they were happy to be there. Another compliment to the owners for properly training your staff.
The food!! If you can … Imagine sitting down to the memories of what your grandmother’s Sunday meals tasted like. That’s the best description I can give. I hope they get recognized for their fried chicken. It was delicious!!! Seasoned, breaded and fried to perfection. A must try! Tons of delicious desserts and ice creams.
The house! You just have to experience it. If you are a history buff, this is your place! They have restored and revived the house. The decorations are beautiful and fun to just walk around and look at.
This place is an experience I’d highly recommend! And it’s budget friendly!
They will be open for Thanksgiving and we’re already planning our spot at the table!!
