Dolce Salato
This was our second time coming together to Peter’s Kitchen, and it confirmed why this place is always on our recommendation list.

They’ve recently made noticeable improvements to the seating area, making the space more comfortable and welcoming—but honestly, even without that, the food alone would be reason enough to return.

The menu delivers legit, authentic Chinese cuisine—no watered-down remakes, no shortcuts. This is food made for people who enjoy depth, texture, and real flavor.

We ordered:
• Dim sum
• Fried rice
• Fried shrimp balls
• Eggplant stuffed with shrimp

Every dish was exquisite, beautifully balanced, and full of character. And their spicy sauce deserves special mention—it’s bold, fragrant, and absolutely addictive.

10/10 food, atmosphere, service, quality, price (sister location to Ming’s Bistro, formerly Peters Kitchen and Chuan Lu Garden)
The lines were long around 1pm BUT the tables turned over quickly last Sunday! I went with a couple of die-hard dim sum lovers and one semi-introductory fan We luvvved all of it AND we were pleased with the quality and selection of dim sum. Fresh, hot and bulging with filling and flavour No notes! The staff was attentive, efficient and so very thankful to everyone who came out to this promotion. One tip: the sign still has the old business name of Chuan Lu Garden and on maps/google goes by Peters Kitchen and Ming Garden…use the address to find this place when using google or maps. I provided a pic of the outside if this helps anyone.

We had a good time with the new team managing Ming’s Garden. Food and ambiance was great! We sampled the banana foster with vanilla ice cream and banana, hand made by Yen in front of us, with live fire! Tasted sweet, cold and warm at the same time!

An authentic dimsum place with a dimsum cart. Food was good. We went for lunch on Sunday and there was no wait.

However, the service needs some improvement. The male waiter ignored us when we walked in. It makes the vibe very unwelcoming. He wasn’t our server, but as we were leaving, we said thank you to him as well, and he just ignored it. The female waitress was nice though.

This was my second time trying braised pork belly with white rice, and my first time ordering from Peter’s Kitchen China Bistro. It blew me away!!! The pork belly was incredibly tender, full of deep, rich flavor, and perfectly seasoned. It had just the right amount of fat to keep it juicy and melt in your mouth soft, without being overwhelming. Paired with fluffy white rice, every bite was pure comfort.

I have had this dish at other places before, but the version from Peter’s Kitchen really stands out….it is on a whole different level. You can tell they put care into their cooking. Even though I got it delivered, it arrived hot, fresh, and beautifully packed. That alone says a lot about the quality and attention to detail.

This meal is so satisfying and well made that it honestly makes me excited to try more from their menu. I can’t wait to visit the restaurant in person and experience the dish fresh out of the kitchen. If you are a fan of braised pork belly, or just want a flavorful, comforting meal done right, I highly recommend giving this place a try.

If you’re familiar with Chuan lu garden from down the street this is the new location. They have the same menu we all loved. Its Peter’s Kitchen/Chuan lu garden. Please support. The food is delicious. Lazi eggplant and tofu is very good and also the tofu hotpot.

Ordered general tso chicken & was given something closer to orange chicken. Staff insists this is general tso chicken, not spicy & sweet. The beef lo mein is flavorless. This use to be my favorite place. We won’t be back. Don’t recommend

Such a good casual place for dim sum!
The food came out fresh and was delicious. We got the vegetable noodles, steamed bbq pork buns, and an assortment of dumplings. All of it was really good especially those noodles, the server was nice and recommended the noodle dish to us.

Had a 10 minute wait for a group of 7. It was busy. However, there was a table available for us but it took a while for them to get us seated and prepped. Food quality was on par with other restaurants and quick, not overly saucy, dim sum standard like other places. The service was initially great but then we were forgotten the rest of the experience. We even wanted to purchase more food and even though a lot of the people had already left, it was as if the staff went to an internal company meeting that we weren’t invited to. We even asked the lady if our entree came with white rice and she said she would get it, but that was even forgotten. We cleaned up our own table out of politeness and respect, it’s something we do anywhere we go, but they wouldn’t know it was cleaned up because they never came back. Bring your own napkins if you plan on eating here.

It was my first time trying this place, and I will definitely be back! I went with my friend and we ordered two side dishes, a main protein, and some tea, and all of it was very affordable! Loved the flavor of the mapo tofu and the chow fun was springy and tasty. Will definitely return when in the area!
