I recently dined at Chuck Lagger, and while there were some highlights, the overall experience left me underwhelmed.
Let’s start with the positives—the Beer Cheeseburger was absolutely delicious, with a flavorful patty and perfectly melted cheese. The fries were salted just right and cooked to perfection, offering the perfect crispness. The soup and street corn that came with the Brisket Grilled Cheese were also excellent, but the sandwich itself was inconsistent—one side was grilled nicely, while the other was disappointingly soggy (as you can see in the pictures). That said, the street corn was the hero of the night!
Now, for the letdowns. The BBQ Chicken Pizza was a major disappointment. It lacked BBQ flavor and was overwhelmingly covered in cheese. Even after asking for extra BBQ sauce on the side, it just didn’t balance out. If you check the pictures, you’ll see exactly what I mean. This was a stark contrast to World of Beer, where the BBQ pizza is far superior.
On the upside, the wine selection was great, and the service was excellent—the wait staff checked on us regularly and made sure we had everything we needed. The atmosphere is nice, but unfortunately, it doesn’t make up for the food inconsistencies, especially when you leave still feeling hungry.
While there were some standout elements, the overall experience just doesn’t make Chuck Lagger a place I’d rush back to. If you’re looking for a spot where you leave saying, “I can’t wait to go back!”, this might not be it.

Update – stopped in for dinner at the bar. Food was very good. The fries are delicious.
The staff is awesome here – super friendly and helpful. They will check in even if they are not your server. Our server was great.
Food is a bit overpriced but they do have unique offerings and things that are different to the norm which I appreciate.
Food was good and came out nice and hot. Drinks were very good also, and different to what I’ve seen elsewhere.

Delicious food and great service. Stopped by for an early dinner/late lunch. We had the crab Rangoon dip with crunchy chips, lamb burger, and limoncello cake. The burger was cooked to perfection, great portions, and delicious blend of flavours made this meal quite amazing. Ending with the limoncello cake was ideal!

Our waitress, Olivia was very attentive! Really nice atmosphere outside on patio. Not too hot, not too cold. TVs and great food. My husband had the sliders and I had the brisket grilled cheese and both were delicious! Casual easy atmosphere.

We had a large crowd of nine of us. The wait was a little too long for our liking, BUT the server, AJ, was beyond super courteous. For the entire establishment, there were only 3 servers. That’s just ridiculous. AJ was certainly doing the best he could with what he was given.
All the food came out hot, fresh, and not a single one of us had anything to complain about. We had the flatbread, pretzel, sliders, Nashville hot, French dip, salads, burgers, fish, chips and salsa, everything…. all very very good.
I would stop again if I was in the area for sure.

This was our first time at this location. We sat outside for lunch with some coworkers and were enjoying the space. Food came out quick and servers were kind and friendly. Would love to come and try out items from the menu.

We visited for drinks and appetizers. The appetizers were good and had a good amount of protein in them. The drinks were good and surprisingly cheaper than expected. Don’t forget to check the happy hour menu, they got good choices.

When friends were over, we spontaneously decided to visit The Shops at Wiregrass–the women went shopping while the men grabbed drinks.
After considering several spots, we chose Chuck Lager America’s Tavern for its atmosphere and drinks plus food. Upon entering, we were greeted warmly at the register and quickly seated in the outdoor area.
Our server, AJ, was fantastic–he was knowledgeable about the menu and gave excellent recommendations for both drinks and food.
We started with a variety of drinks, including: Old Fashioned,Motorworks Midnight Rush Coffee Cake Porter,Moscow Mule,Gin Lemonade,Mai Tai
To go with our drinks, we ordered Truffle Fries, which became the highlight of the night–so much so that we ended up ordering four more servings because everyone loved them!
Once our better halves joined us, we repeated some of our drink orders and added: Espresso Martini and Yuengling .For food, we ordered: Chips & Guacamole,Mushroom Flatbread,Margherita Flatbread

Came for a date night! Had a cotton candy martini that was very very good…. A couple next to us ordered a espresso Martini that wasn’t listed on the menu so we gave it a try and its amazing… definitely worth a request ! We ordered a pretzel which was good and nachos that were extremely good the pork on them was very moist. Service was a A+ … We did have a wait time but it was expected on a Saturday. They have bar seating..outside seating as well as regular inside seating of course. Lots of big screens. Very social restaurant but not to loud .

Went on a Friday night and it was busy. Our party of 5 was seated in about 5 minutes. Our server was very attentive and answered my million questions about the menu (someone has food allergies). I ordered the Cotton Candy Cosmo which was yummy and fun to see the cotton candy melt. Ordered the Deviled Eggs, also delicious. The Smoked Mac & Cheese was also awesome. Definitely would go again.
