Stopped in and was impressed by how efficiently they handled a full dining room. Portions are generous across the board, and the staff did a great job turning tables and accommodating a crowd without things feeling rushed. This is a solid option whether you’re dining with a group or on your own. Classic diner-style fare served quickly!

We use Lucas Coney Island both for personal meals (usually 2-4 people) and for a local monthly business meeting with 15+ staff members. Their team consistently delivers – menu customizations (and we have *a lot* of customizations for allergies at the business meeting) are always correct, timing is reliable, and the food is consistently fresh and delicious. Highly recommend!

A fantastic restaurant! My wife and I happened across this place when our GPS took us on a weird route and we’re glad it did! The service was friendly, attentive and made sure we had everything we needed the whole time. The food came pretty quickly and tasted great. We have no negatives about this place, we just wish it was closer to home so it could be our regular coney spot!

Lucas of South Lyon is a culinary gem that never fails to impress. From the moment you step in, the warm and inviting atmosphere sets the stage for an exceptional dining experience. The food is nothing short of spectacular, showcasing a masterful blend of flavors and impeccable presentation. Each dish is crafted with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and you can truly taste the passion and expertise in every bite.

The service at Lucas is equally remarkable. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly, making you feel welcome and valued throughout your visit. They go above and beyond to ensure that every need is met and every expectation is exceeded.

Whether you’re enjoying a casual meal with family or celebrating a special occasion, Lucas of South Lyon is the perfect destination. It’s rare to find a place where both the food and service are consistently top-notch, but Lucas manages to achieve this effortlessly. Highly recommended for anyone seeking an unforgettable dining experience.

Nice family restaurant, great menu selection – lots of choices. Service was fantastic, never skipped my table, always kept my coffee topped off…… Perfection.
Had a BLT, extra B, on an onion bun and it was perfect – bacon wasn’t overcooked like a lot of places.
Best of all, very reasonable prices.
I’m not local, otherwise it would be a “go to” place for my family.

This is one of our daughter’s favorite places to eat because she loves the lemon, chicken, and rice soup. We tried the “Opa” flaming cheese dish, which was a fun little spectacle for the kids. Cheese was a little sweet and a little stout, so the adults enjoyed it. The fish and chips was surprisingly good, and the gyro plate and Philly sandwich both were pretty decent and a good amount of food. The menu is huge, with a wide variety, and almost too much to choose from. Not necessarily a destination restaurant, but worth checking out if you’re in the area.

A great Coney Island dining experience in South Lyon!

We went there Sunday late morning/early afternoon and were fortunate to get a booth in under a minute because the place was full of diners!

I wanted breakfast but chose to have the Reuben sandwich after our waitress highly recommended it.

The sandwich was packed high with copious amounts of corned beef sliced perfectly thin. The rye bread was toasted nicely but not dried out. The sauerkraut was good, but there could have been more of it on the sandwich.

A large cup of thousand island dressing was served on the side. I ordered fries, and they were excellent! They were lightly battered and crispy but not over-spiced. Simply delicious!

We’ll be coming back again soon!

Update after management response, The explanation given prioritizes speed over customer comfort, which reinforces my original concern.
One star due to being verbally asked for a tip at the drive-through. Fast-food drive-through service is not a tipped service, and customers should not be put on the spot to subsidize wages. If tipping is offered, it should be optional and passive, not requested by employees. This is a management/policy issue, not the fault of the staff.
And response to your reply: I understand the operational explanation, but customer discomfort shouldn’t be the tradeoff for internal efficiency. Being verbally asked for a tip at a fast-food drive-through is still inappropriate, regardless of the reason. Most customers do not expect tipping to be part of a drive-through transaction, and putting people on the spot is not the solution to a process problem. If tipping creates delays when handled afterward, that points to a need for a better system—not pressure on customers. Efficiency should be solved internally, not by shifting awkwardness to patrons. My feedback remains about policy, not staff effort or workload.
