The Stumble Inn is a classic neighborhood bar and one of our longtime NYC go-tos. We’ve been coming here for years and it’s always the same winning combo: great pub food, generous drinks, and an awesome staff that remembers faces and makes you feel welcome the second you walk in. The atmosphere is warm and lively without being overwhelming, perfect for catching a game or getting together with family and friends. It may be called an “Inn,” but there are no rooms upstairs—just plenty of reasons to keep coming back.

Stumble has the best happy hour on the UES, no doubt. The atmosphere here is great in afternoon, and during quieter times it’s a great place for a cheap drink and good bar food. Service can be a bit slower when they’re packed obviously, so be patient with your hardworking bartenders when it’s a busy night or weekend. The staff are always kind and considerate.

Pretty good place for casual happy hour. There is a 50/50 chance it’s a fun dancing bar on weekend nights. Bouncer told me after Halloween the bar doesn’t get much night attention until it summer again.

Max, the bartender, is one of the nicest and most welcoming people I’ve ever met. I was there with about 8 coworkers and he made us all feel welcomed. Max is one of a kind and we all cannot wait to be back because of him.
