This is a place out of history and time. It retains a 1950s Northern Wisconsin feel. The food was just average I’m afraid to say. There was only one waitress and very few patrons. It felt very sad. Their glory days if they ever had any are long over. If they had an owner or a manager with foresight they could turn this place into an amazing restaurant if they wanted to, but they seemed content on just getting by. The salad bar was a plus and reminded me of the good old supper club days.

I visited this establishment 1/30/26 with a group of 6. We were seated right away. We did however have to wait 20 minutes for our waitress Bev to come to our table and take our drink order. While taking our drink order she put her tablet down three times and left to attend to other tables. We then received our drinks and got to order our dinner about 20 minutes later. When we received our food we then ordered another round of drinks. I ordered a tenderloin with salad bar. The tenderloin was very sour tasting and overcooked as it tasted like charcoal. While getting my salad at the salad bar I put shredded cheese on it and noticed it was all moldy with black spots visible in the container. I told the kitchen staff and they switched it out. While we were eating Bev then brought out us out our drinks and walked away. They were the incorrect drinks, another waitress came over and asked if everything as okay and I informed her we were given the wrong drinks and she took care of that. We then received our correct drinks as we were paying the bill. The other waitress than came and checked on us again and asked how everything was and asked why I hadn’t eaten my steak. I then informed her of our experience, she then asked if we let our waitress Bev know and I told her we had not due to her not being around or checking in with us. In the end the tenderloin was taken off our bill. I was really excited to try this place but unfortunately due to the horrible service and food we received we will not be back and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. This is the worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant.

We got in to Door County later than expected last night, and went to Samuelson’s Creek right after we checked in at the White Birch Inn. Even though they were 20 minutes from closing, the staff was exceptionally accommodating and friendly! Our food was great as well- the Cod dinner was delicious. Thank you to the gals working there, so funny and welcoming for our first night in town!

Brisket was mediocre at best. Salad bar left nothing to be desired. Overall a pretty lousy dinner.
Not going to return anytime soon.

Took 45 minutes to get our drink order. The drinks finally came 5 minutes before our food, which was fine.No compensation was offered for the long drink wait. One of the drinks involved pouring a glass of wine.

If you are feeling a bit of a Bates Motel vibe when you first roll up resist the urge to leave! Food is worth it! We had a party of five and all of our sandwiches were great and the salmon too! It was a master class in fried foods for our sides and appetizers. The patio in the evening was super cozy as well!

When they say it’s a hidden gem, it’s true. Stopped here by chance and were delighted in the food. Wait staff was friendly and stopped by often though busy. It was a favorite restaurant of the trip! Prices were very reasonable.

This charming spot is a must-visit for anyone in the area. The ambiance is cozy and welcoming, perfect for a weekend getaway meal. The food is consistently delicious, and you can’t beat the prices for the quality. We make it a point to stop by every time we’re here, and it never disappoints. The fact that they offer gluten-free buns is a huge plus for those with dietary restrictions, and their salad bar is a standout—fresh ingredients paired with some of the best dressings we’ve ever had. A true hidden gem!

Amazing fries, so crispy and seasoned perfectly. I counted 10 Christmas trees and Christmas music was playing the whole time.
