Outside of the “exit wound” I took at the door on my way out, everything was great! FYI if you’re above 6″3 watch your head and eyes when exiting as the “door closer” may catch you between the eyes like it did me! ♂️

By far the worst fish I’ve ever had. But the prices were cheap so I guess you get what u pay for. Half of the fish didn’t even have meat in it. Just fried batter. lol not to mention the long wait.

This was my last visit. 3rd time is a charm. Waited 20 min for old fries and over seasoned fish. The chicken was the only thing ok. I called and they said they’d make it over but we was already at home and it was cold & raining outside. Yall knew before you sent it out that it wasn’t right.

Today my family and I visited this restaurant. We ordered 10 pieces of fish; fried mushrooms and fried green tomatoes. The food was just OK. The fried green tomatoes were significantly overcooked. The service and Manager on Duty were atrocious! The woman at the register took my payment and asked if I wanted tarter sauce; ketchup or hot sauce to which I replied all three. Approximately 3 minutes later this same woman stated “Your order is ready at the window.” I retrieved my order and left their establishment. Upon arrival to my destination we learned they had neglected to add any of the requested condiments, including utensils. At 5:38pm, I called their store and spoke to the manager advising him of the situation. To my surprise the manager begin to argue and blamed me for failing to obtain the requested items. Even when I told him the woman at the counter told me my order was ready for pickup at the window he continued to argue and blame me for their error. The manager was dismissive, rude and completely unprofessional. His behavior is a testament to and reflection of poor customer service and lack of professional accountability.

Horrible the food was nasty. We ordered catfish they’re passing white fish off as catfish. The fish was hot that was the only positive thing. Thumbs down. JJ’s sucks go somewhere else

This is a “HOOD SPOT”. Be prepared for warmed over food and asking for items to be replaced. The staff is nice but CHECK YOUR ORDER BEFORE LEAVING THE WINDOW. Good Luck!

I moved here from Atlanta and was excited JJ’s existed in Dallas. First glance pulling up, it’s a hole in the wall. It definitely needs some TLC. (Renovations and cleaning inside and out.) They were very busy and the wait time is about 15-20 mins but it will be fresh. I ordered the wings and fish (whiting) combo meal. I have no complaints about my food. It served.

JJ’s is an institution in Desoto Texas. Wings, fish and mouth watering deserts. I typically have the ocean perch and 4 wings on the side (leftovers for a snack). You can specify how many pieces you want.
