Like most good stories, ours starts with a taco — a deep fried taco. And a margarita. Or two. At Amigos Grill & Cantina, we started with tacos and then built a place where we could serve them — and so much more. Our goal has always been to create a space where friends and family could come together to share tasty food, delicious drinks — and stories. Lots and lots of stories. Good queso, bean dip and guac, chips are fresh and crispy. Tried a variety of menu options, asada fries were delicious and filling, enough for an entree. Burrito’s are decent size, chimi’s are fried perfectly. Service is always quick, and responsive. Glad to have it as a close ‘go-to’ option that I know will be dependable.

First off, I love their salsa! My favorite in KC. Their lunch and daily specials are very budget friendly. Good drink specials as well. Service can be spotty, so grab a spot at the bar if possible.

First time ordering from this place, went with my family to order carryout. It’s not even deserving of a star in my opinion. I ordered a chimichanga, it wasn’t really even fried under the cheese sauce. It was pretty much a burrito. Flavor was not there either for the beans. And on top of that, found a damn toothpick(gross bc where did it come from
& why was it even in my container) it was in my cheese sauce that came on top of what was supposed to be a chimichanga. I won’t ever be eating there again!!! Could have saved my money and went elsewhere. Smh

The atmosphere could use some work, just the standard sports bar and music vibe, but theres always good tunes!

Long version – what I liked the most was the service. Service was very good. Location and parking was good too. Chips were too my liking, not too thin, not too thick, and crunchy. The salad was okay, not bad, not great. The carne asada taco, rice, and beans was a bit lacking/bland. I enjoyed the asada fries and the chicken quesadilla. The chicken quesadilla was shredded chicken, not chunks of chicken, in case this is a deal breaker for someone out there. There’s booths and tables, and also a bar. There’s lots of TVs setup with sports on. I would recommend trying this place if you’re in the area.

Great food and drinks. My wife always gets the chicken enchiladas with mucho onions. It comes with beans and rice. I got chicken fajitas this time. It also comes with beans and rice and of course chips and salsa. My wife had two margaritas and she said they were good but strong.
