Joy, THANK YOU! My wife and I were celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary today. We work in an area that offers a lot of choices to eat, but we decided to go to Barcelona. We knew we had picked the right place when we walked in. The food is fantastic, the atmosphere and service are impeccable, but Joy made our night (okay, early afternoon) memorable. She was kind and attentive and made us want to come back again and again. You are lucky that Joy chose you, as she would be a welcome addition to any business! I went to this location for the first time for dinner with friends. I really like the ambience, but I can say I wasn’t very impressed with the food. Nothing wrong, just didnt really have anything to say, wow, this is delicious. We got there and waited at least 15 min to be assisted by our waitress. We waited at least more 15 min for the drinks to come to our table. Food actually started coming before the drinks. And when they finally got to us, they were low quality. I ordered a spicy marg with some extra sugar. I got what I called lemonade juice. We were basically forced to drink our drinks since no one came to our table to check on us and we were eating as well. When she finally came to our table we ordered a main dish and other drinks then I told her to ask bartender to make it a drink, not a juice, and add liquor. Then I told her the how our experience was going so far. She sent us one of the managers who made sure we were not paying for previous drinks and food would get to us quicker. My question is, do we really need to get to this point? It looks like the reputation of Barcelona being a place just to hang out and have drinks is real.

I love this location of Barcelona! The service is quick but not rushed, the atmosphere is lively but not overwhelming, and lighting is delightfully dim in the evening. They are very accommodating of large parties as well. They have an option to talk about dietary restrictions ahead when you reserve through Tock – highly recommend this for everyone’s sake. My only complaint is that I tried to call ahead to ask if I could have two menu items made as-is just not served drenched in oil because I was going to arrive after the other 9 diners; they didn’t pick up despite being open after 3 separate calls.. and my tapas were beyond drenched in oil. Like oil soup. Overall though my family enjoyed everything and the food was absolutely delicious despite the greasiness of various items. Prices are pretty reasonable for the location, service, ingredient quality, and taste.

We had the best darned time on Xmas Eve (our 2nd visit to this marvelous eatery). Everything delicious! What we ordered: Pulpo (octopus) was special, Pork Belly (the sauce!) & Gambas (Shrimp) were delicious. I preferred Deluca Squash, partner preferred Cauliflower, Spinach Chickpeas was a close 2nd for both. Connor taking rez on phone & Joy greeting us were professional AND personable, and Server Virginia was the coolest, completely into the menu. This is a terrific place to eat! We’ll be back for our 3rd meal soon (we’re here for an extended stay from SoCal!).

This location hits different—in the best way. Everything felt a little more on point, from the service to the food. Love the vibes, and of course, the music was as always a full vibe. Sangria was flowing, tapas were on point, and the whole experience just felt a notch above. Love that every Barcelona has its own flavor, but this one might be my favorite so far.

We hosted our staff holiday dinner & drinks party with Barcelona. From start to finish, it was the easiest and most exceptional experience. We booked our party with the event function on their website. Tiana helped us get a contract & options that met our budget and helped us customize our menu in advance. And the team at Barcelona Cathedral Heights (GM Duncan, Joy, and server Pedro) were phenomenal. Everything was perfectly and thoughtfully prepared when we arrived – super warm and welcoming staff. The food was delicious and varied – we did the rare thing and pleased everyone! And having the full beverage list to choose from was also a big hit. They did an impeccable job of attending to all 16 of us and perfectly pacing delivery of items throughout the night so we were never without but also never felt rushed. They set the table (literally) for the most relaxed and loveliest gathering we’ve had in recent memory. 10/10.
