My wife and I visited this restaurant for Valentine’s Day. There’s meter parking on the street and garage parking available. Our table was ready when we arrived. For appetizers, we ordered chicken empanadas and Tostones rellenos. As for our entrees, we had Pernil with white rice, black beans, and tostones, and Masitas de Puerco with the same sides. For dessert, we indulged in Flan de coco and Tres leche cake. The food was absolutely delicious. The chicken and pork were perfectly seasoned and tender. We’ll definitely be returning to this restaurant soon.

While this restaurant has a good reputation, we felt the food didn’t quite match our expectations, especially for our Indian taste buds.
The appetizers— the Empanadas and Croquetas were good, and our kids really enjoyed them.
Main dishes
– Bistec de Palomilla: Steak was overcooked and bland, beans lacked flavor.
– Vaca Frita: Flank steak was dry, almost like fried onions, and missing seasoning.
– Picadillo: Better than the other beef dishes — moist and flavorful.
– Arroz con Pollo: My son ordered this and loved it; probably the best dish of the night.
– Cubano Sandwich: Unfortunately very dry, with no sauce or flavor.
– Yuca con Mojo: Nicely cooked, but the garlic sauce was served on the side instead of on top as described.
Ended on a sweet note with a complimentary Tres Leches cake for the birthday celebration, which was delicious.
Overall, while the starters and dessert stood out, most of the entrées lacked flavor and balance.

This is my second time here, last time I was here I I had dinner and it was amazing. The rope viewable was awesome. On this visit, all we did was have drinks and an appetizer and desert. Highly recommend this place as it serves authentic Cuban food.

Saboe de Cuba hits the spot every time. Hi quality, delicious, healthy meals. They have the best empanadas and sangria in Frederick.

Sightseeing in historic Frederick opted to have a Cuban late lunch. Chose to outdoor seating on account of a furry companion due to indoor restrictions. We ordered shrimp plate which was quite generous with plump shrimp, flat skirt steak tender and flavorful topped with chimic hurri, mastita de puerco-a plate of deeply fried marinated chunky pork pieces with white rice, plantains andblack beans, hefty and filling and lastly arroz pollo like a cuban version of chicken biryani but milder and nicely seasoned rice. Service was attentive. A bit disappointing patio seating-limited space and inadequate shading from harsh summer afternoon sunshine and water bowl for pet needing some washing and fresh water.

This is a small restaurant which makes it cozy and perfect for a date night. The staff is friendly. You can make reservations but they are necessary. The food is delicious. The have tried a few different items and they have all been good. Drinks are good too. Prices are also reasonable.

This place has the potential to be awesome but needs better REAL cuban food.
Service and atmosphere 10/10. Food 2/10 not awful but no flavor. Bland food at high prices. I really do wish the food was better, I don’t mind the price point as long as the flavor and quality are worth. This food, sadly, not worth the price.

I have been craving Cuban food for a while. Who knew that in quaint downtown Frederick there was a authentic Cuban restaurant?? I come to Frederick fairly regularly as a bottle club member at Tenth Ward and Sabor De Cuba is right down the street! I was looking for a lunch option nearby and found this place.
My favorite dish is masitas de puerco. The tender, marinated fried pork and onions do something to my soul! They do have it on the menu but I opted for something lighter in the middle of my long day. I ordered the papa rellena appetizer and a Cuban sandwich. The papa was pricey. At my favorite cafecito in my hometown in California, I can get 3 for the price I paid here but it was absolutely delicious. Not for nothing the sauce they served it with was good too and I’m not a condiment kinda girl. The Cuban was perfect too. Authentic bread, tasty innards, and a good portion. Service was fast and friendly.
I’ll definitely be returning!

Had a great first visit. The cuban and roast pork sandwiches were great. Yucca and beans were fresh. Sauces were great even though there was a 1.50 charge for them. Overall, very good…little on the pricey side- $50 for 2 sandwiches and 2 sides and sodas, But you’re in downtown and and we loved it. Lost 1 star for no straws offered for our water and sodas which I’m fine with, but know it’s a thing for some. Will be back one day!
