Mixed experience – great food, disappointing management
Our first dinner here was wonderful – delicious food, lovely ambiance, and an attentive server who was thoughtful and efficient. Would have happily recommended it.
Unfortunately, things went downhill from there. When we tried to make additional reservations, we had to wait 10 minutes for the manager (after already paying). He was visibly impatient and rude about what seemed like a simple request for two more bookings. He scribbled down a time and my name.
When we returned for our reservation, the server couldn’t find us – turns out the time was recorded an hour later than what the manager told us. My name was also written down as “Xing Xing” – nowhere close to the right spelling. Whether just carelessness or something else, it didn’t feel great as a non-European customer.
It’s a shame because the food and service from our original server were genuinely excellent. But the inconsistency between staff and the dismissive attitude from management means we won’t be returning or recommending this place to any friend/family.
If you do visit, hopefully you’ll get the great experience we had the first time.

Atrezzo managed to fit me in as a walk-in customer. The restaurant is very ambient and sophisticatedly decorated. I loved that there was significant space between the tables so you didn’t have to squeeze in.
I had the cappricosa pizza and a glass of wine. The wine was delicious, I could’ve easily ordered more!
The pizza was a little disappointing. The cheese was flavourful and the crust wonderfully crisp on the outside and airy in the middle. However I found that the rest of the toppings did not have much taste and ultimately became mush in my mouth. The middle of the pizza was also quite wet. It was okay, I ate it all but wouldn’t go back in a hurry. Other than for the bathroom which was gorgeous

CLOSE TO PERFECT FOR THE PRICE. This spot in Malaga’s port / old town is a cut above the usual tourist fare. The food was brilliant for the price, really high quality and beautifully served. Coming from London and fresh off Barcelona, I found it excellent value. Service was lovely too, with a smiley, helpful waitress and a very polite food runner. The lobster linguine was tasty, though I’m not a fan of having to de-shell lobster with pasta. The pork was fantastic, and the focaccia was enormous and is definitely for sharing.
The space has a slick, modern look, though it’s a shame the lighting is a bit too bright. They’ve got warm LEDs tucked around that give a nice glow, but they’re overpowered by round white bulbs, which is one of my pet peeves.
Wholeheartedly recommended.

This place isn’t worth it – we made a reservation in advance, as we were traveling for our honeymoon during a busy holiday weekend. when we arrived, the hostess was rude. the service is SO slow, order everything as soon as you get the waiter to your table. the food came out oddly fast but the pizza we ordered was super cold. the pasta was good and came out hot. the table of ladies left because of lack of service. ok food and prices, but the bad service isn’t worth it. there are likely better italian restaurants in the area

Had a wonderful experience at Artezzo! We started with cocktails at the bar, and Steve, the barman made some excellent drinks while being welcoming and professional. Antonella kindly found us a table, and we enjoyed a marvelous dinner that was absolutely delicious. Throughout the meal, both Olena and Antonella were incredibly attentive and so friendly, which made the evening even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for both the great food and the fantastic service!

The beef carpaccio was one of the best I have had. The lasagna was also very good (although it needed some more salt in my opinion). The dessert was a bit basic for this level restaurant. The service was polite but cold for an Italian restaurant. I was visiting the restaurant alone and didn’t feel included.
