What a blast from the past going into this restaurant. It’s definitely got its own vibe and it feels like in the 90s, not in a bad way.
I was visiting for work and stopped by here for a steak. We were immediately seated along with a very attentive server, not a lot of small talk from her but she did her job and kept it simple. I’m not going to complain about that.
We ordered appetizers, Ribeye steaks and they were cooked perfectly. I’m really happy with the food overall.
If you’re looking for a good steak, go check this place out, be ready to spend a little money.

This was our first time at AJ Spurs. We ordered the pork barbecue ribs, the pork chop, and the ribeye. The mains were all delicious and the soup and other sides were very good. You will definitely not go home hungry as there is plenty of food. John our waiter was exceptional in his service and explaining the menu. The food was served quickly and at a perfect temperature. We will definitely be back.

Definitely come hungry the Cowboy soup is plentiful and tasty. The steaks are good but I’ve definitely had better. If you like outback, Black Bear dinner and such very comparable. The decor is a bit different, lots a taxidermy, but fits the theme.

$325 for 3 adults. The lady that was serving us definitely didn’t have very good table side manners. The guys running around were very sweet and helpful. The soup they serve is just some vegetable soup that’s sub-par. I asked for a salad with the ranch on the side, however i was served salad soup instead (way too much ranch).The waitress got an attitude when we asked if we could order crackers or some bread. Garlic bread is really good. We ordered 2 ribeye steaks, 1 tbone steak, coconut shrimp, spare ribs, and a full rack of beef ribs. The rice pilaf should be thrown away. The potatoes are really good. Do wish there was an actual vegetable served. Steak ribeye was ordered medium and they delivered it full rare, other rib eye tasted spoiled. BEEF RIBS ARE WELL WORTH IT. tbone was good. Coconut shrimp were huge and yummy but the dip for them was horrid. Spare ribs could have been more tender but were very flavor full. Root beer float would have been better with a decent root beer. Id go back if some items were change or even just the sauce on the side and proper cook on steak was delivered.

Love the old stuff and the atmosphere. My son’s steak was perfect and flavorful. My husband got ribs, they were very disappointing. My burger was good the soup they serve is good. I just think it’s not worth the price. But the place was packed on a Saturday night. So they are doing something rite.

Another amazing night here. I brought my kids about a week ago and the food was great, atmosphere was friendly and drinks were too notch. I had to come back again a couple nights ago with a date and we sat at the bar and service was exceptional. This cute elderly man was singing and he sang the song that I have as my dates ringtone and it was beautiful and nostalgic and so coinicdental! The bartender was fun, listened to our nonsense and even gave me the pen I signed my check with because I liked the way it wrote. I love this place and will definitely be coming back again and again!

It was our first time there, celebrating 2 Birthdays and my husband and I 30th Anniversary. Our Server Flossy was Awesome! She fully met all our expectations. The food……oh my goodness so delicious,and so much of it! I definitely recommend this place,and will surely be back again when in the area.

Of course if you can handle stuffed animals and birds this is place for you. Only one vegetarian item. It was a veg tortellini pasta in almost an Alfredo type of sauce. It was filling but taste was just average. Everything else on the menu has meat or made with meat broth. The stew and beans were, I am told, barely warm. Service is so so. Our waiter was nice but that’s about it. No real interest nor enthusiasm. Won’t be going here again.

This place is amazing especially because of Rebecca and her crew! We were here for a double birthday. We started with their family style stew and black beans with salsa. Tremendous! Next was a garden salad – cold and crisp. The main course, filet mignon paired with rice pilaf and family style crispy potatoes was slightly under done for me at medium. Dessert is included and we had an ice cream sundae. If you are an animal lover though, be aware that there are at least 100 taxidermy items. I just didn’t look at them. Great food , great price!

There’s always room for improvement,but this place has been a staple of fine dining in the area for more than two decades. Great food, good people, I did notice that as soon as I gave them the money and tip, the service was over even though we were still eating (i like to pay bills in advance Incase we have to run) that being said, dropping 100$ on two people, we should get the same service after we paid as we did before.
