I ordered from doordash and they seem to be lazy they forgot not one but two of my pies, they also gave me the wrong flavor of wings and they never add the sauces that you pay for. , The biscuits were insanely greasy and the chicken looked like a rat.

I stopped by Popeyes in Watts on October 2nd, 2025, at 12:58 p.m., and had a great experience! The cashier (unfortunately, I didn’t catch his name) was AWESOME! He was super sweet, nice, and generous with the sauce – I love it when staff go above and beyond!

The lobby was clean, which is always a plus. Although there weren’t many people, I was surprised by the wait for food, maybe because they were running low on chicken? I get it, but I’d love to see them keep the chicken coming to avoid long waits.

One suggestion I have is to have at least two people working the register, especially during peak hours. Other than that, the staff had great attitudes, and it made the experience even better. It’s clear they’ve worked on improving since my last visit. Can’t wait to come back!

They are lazy, they never pick up the phone and when they do they disconnect the line! They always get the orders wrong both in pick up and delivery plus the food is always cold. Horrible service.

They got an automated machine doing half their work yet still fail to get orders right or to even mearly add the sauces that the orders come with. The level of incompetence is ridiculous at this day and age.

So i get off the train not knowing what time it was. (Device had no juice) meanwhile thinking to myself I’m hungry. BOOM! I see Popeyes and hope the dining area was still taking walk ins.(hadn’t had Popeyes in a while so why not!) Great news they were, i proceed to open the door and get me and Swhin through. Once inside i have 3 sets of eyes look at me(apparently the conversation was really delightful because i was the one who did the greeting! #thanks now I’m at the counter telling the cashier guy to give me a minute to look over the menu. OKAY (ME) I’m ready now. May i have a number two please, (HIM) You want a number 5 because it has three wings…
So i get to thinking idk if 3 wings compared to a thigh and a wing is more filling. (ME) no a number 2

Now I’m thinking like okay fine whatever, i really just want some fresh good spicy chicken, red beans ans rice, with honey all in my biscuit ..
i get my order.
Another employee makes small talk and offers to OPEN THE DOORS for me on the way out! Cool!! #nicesthospitalityoftheday.
I even rode off telling him because of that i would write a review for the store!!
I finally make my home you guys and I’m sorry i cannot vouch for the bloody, undercooked, smallest wings fried i received. If only i could’ve made this review positive and worth it. However I’m holding to my end of the deal, next time Popeyes let’s have proper, fresh chicken fried. Greet your customers with a smile, do not insist on pressuring someone to buy what you like or think is better.

their job is too hard and customers are being mean… The workers were ok, 1 wasn’t nice and 1 was nervous and probably scared of the other customer being mean to her. It isn’t fair. They can’t do anything with what they don’t have. Some customers want the impossible. So this review was for bad service but I’m
also really acknowledging the stress they might have to undergone. I left right away because I was so uncomfortable, but acknowledgment of customer behavior as well, which has nothing to do with the restaurant besides an uncompromising uncontrollable feeling after the workers are unfairly bullied, it’s only human to have feelings of stress in those environments.
