A lovely spot to meet your breakfast craving! They have an expansive diner menu full of omelettes, burgers, desserts, and more! I got the chorizo omelette with a side of hash browns and pancakes and to wash it down – apple juice! It was satisfying, I was wanting a good breakfast meal for a while and Golden Apple delivered! Plus you can’t beat 24 hour availability. They have plenty of space and they are in a beautiful part of the neighborhood directly across from a church built in the 1800s! Free parking in the nearby residential street and paid parking even closer.

Omg! Amazing choices of food! You can also have and adult beverage! 24 hrs—- at any time. You can wrap it up with pie. We are from out of town but drive up to see mom everywhere week. We come in later on Fridays and can always go here. This is our go to place starting tonight. FYI– I shared a Ruben sandwich that came with clam chowder( 3 options) and one other side. I had a Mimosa and shared coconut cream pie. Mom (87yo) had a Greek shiskabob to die for. It came with so much that she has food for days. Friendly staff and good food— soup to nuts. My new go to place!!

We went here after trying to go to Batter and Berries, but didn’t want to wait an hour. This place was also slammed, but our party of 2 was seated right away. The elderly man who seated us was friendly and outgoing. Our server and others waiting on us were super attentive and responsive. When the food arrived, my date thought her meal came with pancakes. Our server said no, but turned around, grabbed a plate of freshly made pancakes and put them on our table. I can’t count the number of times we were asked if everything was Ok. Everything was more than Ok. I can see why after over 50 years of 24/7 service this place has received so much attention and recognition. They are on their A game!

Solid early morning diner with everything you’d expect. Menu is very large and covers everything from breakfast to dinner.
We went for an early 5am breakfast and really enjoyed both of our picks. The corn beef hash was well seasoned and generously portioned and the French toast had a bit of turmeric added to give it a nice golden color.
Definitely worth your time off you’re up early or stayed up too late.

This spot is a treasure with a wonderful classic diner atmosphere. The menu is loaded with delicious breakfast and comfort food favorites, and they don’t skimp on the portions! Our coffee was always full, and the food came out perfectly hot and fresh. The entire staff was friendly and efficient, but George was the true gem of the place—his fantastic service made our visit truly memorable. We’ve found our new go-to for a laid-back and consistently satisfying meal.

Saw this place on the road and had to come back when we got hungry. The vibes are immaculate, the interior is lit with gold colored lighting and is very cozy.
The food was pretty good, and ordering tea got us a teapot with water plus lemon slices and honey. I had the French connection, French toast plus scrambled eggs, and my sister had the 2222 breakfast. The bacon and syrup were very high quality, though the eggs could have used more salt. We also got a cup of French onion soup, which tasted very bell pepper-y (unique!)
The staff was kind and the hostess was super friendly as we paid our check. My sister was super impressed and wants to come back next time we’re in the city!

I genuinely and honestly would give it 5 stars, but there is a huge secotor of people out there that won’t believe me that it was perfect. Everything made to my request, prices were great, and all while being served gracefully. They rock!

I was going to another place for breakfast this morning while visiting Chicago; I don’t know places well. But there was no parking there, and … I saw plenty of parking near the Golden Apple. So hey, I stopped. Glad I did! VERY friendly, comfortable, nice staff and customers too. The food was fast and delicious. I had a chorizo breakfast burrito, it was big, and full of good stuff, not just a bunch of beans. My waitress was friendly, and quick to refill my coffee. I’m tagging this on Google Maps for the next time I’m in town.
