Thoroughly enjoyed the fried catfish and shrimp combo mac & cheese collards mixed with cabbage, Candy yams, sweet cornbread , buffalo chicken wings And washed it all down with a tall glass of uptown our server I believe her name was Shamiya I could be wrong. I apologize if I have the incorrect name but it definitely started with SH , but she was amazing as well..my family is looking forward to going back.

I ordered through Uber Eats. I was not feeling well, so I was looking for a Sunday dinner. I read the reviews and decided to go with this place. What a waste of almost one hundred dollars, because I tipped the driver and all the other fees. The food was loaded with salt, and I could even eat it. I managed to eat half a wig and some collard greens. Without the salt, I am sure I would have enjoyed the meal. Because it was cooked ok the wings were a little soggy, but that could have been from the ride to my house. don’t think I will give them a second chance because of all the salt.

I ordered turkey wings over yellow rice with Mac & cabbage. When I grabbed the food and the bag didn’t feel hot that was my first red flag. I opened my bag, no utensils. These were the worst turkey chops I ever had in my life. They were not crunchy, very soggy and thin. The baked macaroni & cheese was nasty. It was runny and clumpy. The best thing on my plate was the cabbage and the rice was ok. I hate wasting my hard earned money on food that doesn’t meet basic expectations.

If you’re looking for a great meal, nice atmosphere & great, hospitable customer service just go…you won’t be disappointed. And, the prices are very reasonable with daily specials. This is a ✋ woman owned establishment that I’m more than happy to support based on the quality food(tastes like somebody’s granny put their whole foot in), & service I receive EVERY TIME I patron which in my opinion is very hard to come by these days. Everything we had here was delicious, including the shrimp & grits, fried okra, black-eyed peas and smothered turkey wings. Our server was very personable, and the decor is cozy. I highly recommend it. Also, there’s a liquor store across the street if you’d like to add something to your drink.

Went there for the first time this past Sunday for lunch. Ordered beef short ribs cabbage and greens. The server was very pleasant and the food was served in a timely manner. I definitely enjoyed it. The only problem which has nothing to do with the restaurant is parking can be a problem. But I will definitely be back.

The food here is soooo good! I have ordered for pick up 3 times in two months, I have no complaints. It is a B.A.E (Black American establishment) which is great and how it should be pertaining to soul food. I will recommend their fried fish, short beef ribs, turkey wings, macaroni and cheese, collards, yams, etc. Try it all! Lol. Prices are extremely affordable, I was extremely surprised!! The energy and service I received every time is top notch, feels like family. I wish I had pictures to share with my experience, but unfortunately when the food hits my door my family wastes no time. Lol. This will be our go to spot for soul food for now on. They definitely deserved this review. Keep it up because we need our B.A.Es to stay flourishing, especially the food!
