his bar is such a gem — the vibe is instantly cool without trying too hard, and it’s the perfect place to unwind with friends. The cocktails are truly unique and thoughtfully crafted, each one tasting as good as it looks. The bartenders are friendly, attentive, and clearly know their craft, which makes the whole experience even better. From the music to the atmosphere to the great drinks, everything comes together for an awesome night out. Highly recommend!

We went upstairs and fell in love at first sight. It looks like an exclusive social club with affordable prices. Feels both classy and completely casual at the same time! There’s pool tables, a shuffleboard, games, cozy couches and chairs, and also tall tables and bar seating. The crowd was relaxed, either enjoying their own company or striking up friendly games and conversations. My husband played a couple of pool games with another patron, first time in a very long while and had a great time. I loved their beer selection with the local Ginger’s Revenge beer ending up being my favorite and their pizza!
This place sets a standard that will be hard to match in my area, great for grabbing a beer, a bite to eat, and just enjoying the atmosphere.

We came in on a Thursday night flight from Chicago. We had been to Barleys every trip, but this was a little different. It was a pool hall with great beer and six pool tables. We walked in and a change to the place was terrific. Tables went down to two, with a fireplace and real comfortable vibe. Then we ordered a pizza that was one of the best pizza I had ever had. Oh the pool was free and a great selection of micro beers for $5.00 a pint.

We had just arrived in town and had an activity scheduled in the next couple of hours. I looked out of our hotel window and spotted Barley’s Taproom and Pizzeria right across the street. We finished up in the room, crossed the street, and entered. We were greeted warmly, seated quickly, and provided with some menus. The place only had a few other customers, and the dining room was spacious but a bit dark. They had a second level, but the stairs were blocked off, so I didn’t get a chance to explore. We reviewed the beer menu, which was pretty extensive. We tried a couple of tasters. I sampled the Hazy IPA, and Wifey had the wheat offering. We loved both of them and ordered full sizes. We quickly decided on our food order. Wifey went for one slice of her favorite Margherita, and I ordered two slices of Pepperoni, debating between one or two but settling on two. As we waited for our food, we enjoyed the unexpected R&B music selection playing in the background. We were loving it. Before we knew it, our pizzas arrived. Pizza is all about the crust for me, and it was super crunchy. We both enjoyed our food, and I probably could have just ordered one slice. This place delivered great pizza and beer with quick, pleasant service at reasonable prices.I would definitely recommend a visit. 4.5 Rating

I was just glad to find a place serving food at midnight. Pleasantly surprised by the pizza. Even happier to see Guinness and Harp on tap. At that time of night only the bar was open, but the bartender was helpful and handled everything. The upstairs had a couple pool tables and a shuffleboard. I also appreciated that they had self serve for ice water so we didn’t have to bother the bartenders for refills.

Absolutely the best pizza we have ever had The crust was delicious, made with sourdough bread and thin! The toppings were plentiful and very tatsty. All the reviews we read were on point, best pizza ever! Our server was Dave, he did an excellent job to make our experience a great one! We will make it a point to come back when we are in town! Don’t miss this one, you’ll be sorry if you do !

Pizza was great. We got the large for only $3 more than the medium and it was just the right amount for 3 hungry people. Tried the French Broad Kulsch beer and it was decent. Nothing special. The atmosphere wasn’t too exciting which is why it’s not a 5 star. Pretty quiet for a dinner time meal. The waitress was attentive and showed up the right amount of times. Felt like they were upset we asked for straws for our drinks. Would def recommend for the pizza.

We had a really nice lunch here. I haven’t been in 18 years. The black bean hummus is excellent! I didn’t find it too spicy, and I can barely handle black pepper. I had the strawberry basil cider which was fantastic! The place is beautifully decorated and very spacious. The tables are pretty far apart which makes for a more pleasant dining experience.

We stopped here on a whim for a late lunch while shopping downtown. The place has a very cool vibe and we liked the look of it. We ordered the Italian sandwich and a slice of the pepperoni pizza to share. The sandwich was delicious. It could have used some more pesto aioli and a little more seasoning but all around it was very satisfying. The slice of pizza was a bit disappointing. The sauce lacked some flavor and it wasn’t cooked very well. I would have preferred more cheese or anything to bump up the flavor. The service was good and efficient.
