Smoky, tender BBQ worth the drive… Alice’s BBQ is the REAL DEAL
Alice’s BBQ is hands down some of the best BBQ in Chicago. The food was smoky, tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. That sauce?! Absolute rich, bold, and perfectly balanced. The kind of sauce you keep thinking about long after the meal is over.
The ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender, the shrimp was juicy and well-seasoned, and everything tasted fresh, soulful, and made with care. You can tell this is BBQ done right — no shortcuts, just flavor.
Service was fast and friendly, the portions were generous, and the whole experience felt authentic and satisfying. Honestly? I would drive another three hours without hesitation just to eat here again.

My first time here and sad to say ,my last ive been contemplating on trying them out for at least a year now. today I took the risk by going when they first open and it didnt make any difference. the service was fast the cashier was polite but the RibTips were VERY MUCH NASTY,BURNT AND OLD!! IM sure they gave me tips leftover from the night before .I’ve worked in a Barbeque establishment and I know the short cuts.who ever made my order SHAME ON YOU!! there were 4 people in the back making orders and still couldn’t give me fresh food.

Oh my ,overall just terribly greasy tough rib tips. The Sauce was really thin and flavorless..portions are really small and it’s expensive $47 and some change straight in the trash..my wife trashed her chicken to .said it wasn’t seasoned..

I recently visited there, and I would never come again. The customer service Sucks I ordered a large tip with extra mile sauce. The tips was dry and burned to the bone and I had also ordered a chopped steak burger on toast with extra onions and dip. The steak burger was dry no onions… SMH!!! I go back to the restaurant and they refuse to refix my order and refunding me all my money back because they messed up my order…. First timer! And it was GOODT! You can Smell the delicious BBQ from the streets as I parked for parking. I Ordered the ribs tips(ate most before a picture)and requested my bread to be place on the bottom, and was given extra bread with mild sauce! No complaints in my book! Also ordered a cheese burger. A nice lady took my order didn’t quite catch her name it was pretty busy. The Vibe was a quick in & out spot. No seating, just order and goooo. It was about 4 people ahead of me but the line moved quickly. Took about 20mins for my order to be ready. Timing was perfect with a fresh meal in hand after leaving the 41st Beach & lakeshore Drive. Alice’s bbq was on the way home and it could not have been a better time. Go Check em out!

My family loves their food, the only problem I had was today. My husband called today, New years eve, asked what time were they closing, the young lady said 7pm. My husband and I came from Hillside, we got here at 6pm and they weren’t taking any more orders.locked the doors. I’m a little disappointed, but that will not stop me from coming back.

The rib tips are hit or miss. Sometimes they are very tender, other times they are cooked hard. The sauce is good, i recommend extra sauce. I also recommend having them cut thin or double cut. The wait could be long depending on the line, which is usually long. Street parking. They do not take phone orders. Otherwise not bad.
