BROOOO let me tell you about Eagle Inn Café because this place had me feeling like I got drafted into the Good Vibes Only military ✨

Walked in and immediately got hit with that red-white-and-blue rizz so hard my inner Midwesterner started two-stepping. Wood paneling for DAYS. Like if American Pride was a Pokémon, this place is its final evolution ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

Service? IMMACULATE. Our server and the squad were out here speed-running hospitality like it was a Sunday dinner boss battle. Zero fear. Zero hesitation. Just pure diner-side dominance.

Food?? HELLOOO
• Fish fry? Bussin like a bald eagle doing a flyover
• Hot beef and taters? Taste buds said “YUP” with tears in their eyes
• Homemade pie? Actually homemade ON SITE like a grandma with maxed-out baking skills. Straight up illegal levels of good .

And listen… I stepped out to the overlook by the Wisconsin River and that view had me in my FEELINGS. Like, “dang, if I had dropped my ego and wrestled my demons earlier, I might still be where my heart been tryna go back to.” But y’know… life be lifin’. ️❤️‍
It’s funny how a place can remind you what you lost, and also remind you you’re still alive enough to feel it.

ANYWAYS—

Back to Eagle Inn because HOLY MIDWEST.
The whole spot is giving small-town warmth, zero pretension, full comfort-food power-up, and big Americana energy. If you want a place that feels like a hug, a parade, a Snap-On calendar, AND a Norman Rockwell painting had a baby, COME HERE.

This place is HIM.
This place is HER.
This place is THEM.
This place is THAT CAFE ✨

Five stars. Zero notes. Will return until they kick me out for vibing too hard.

Was driving by doing some photography of the local eagles and we smelled the bacon! After a quick stop on new years eve morning, we had some of the best eggs Benedict I think I’ve ever had. The wait staff was incredible and personable. Our waitress was either a natural or she’s been doing it for her whole life.. she has perfected what it is to be a waitress! We will be back and we absolutely loved the place!

Ps. Prices are a little higher than the average breakfast place but you definitely get what you pay for!

Their breakfast food is the best! I love their signature breakfast sandwich. I usually add bacon.

I came in with a party of 3. We were driving home from Madison. We walked in and were told it would be a 5 minute wait for a table. We were also told we would be seated by a hostess, but others also waiting in line mentioned you grab a table yourself when one opens. We waited 25 minutes and appeared to be next in line to grab a table. All of a sudden a party of 5 people walked in and one of the employees proceeded to seat them right away, before us and anyone in line behind us. We did mention that was a bit unfair since we had been waiting so long already. The worker said “Well that’s how it goes, get over it”. Mind you, this place doesn’t take reservations.

We finally grabbed an open table 15 minutes later. We were not acknowledged by the waitress for 20 minutes after being seating ourselves. It appeared other tables around us had not received menus or drinks either.

The food was fine. The waitress was nice when she finally acknowledged us, but the first impression was not great. Not worth the hassle of waiting. The attitude from the employee who was providing tables to certain parties over others was super frustrating to witness. Wouldn’t be back and wouldn’t recommend this to people passing through the area.

Little restaurant with an amazing atmosphere. Food and service was excellent.

Food cooked perfectly. Exactly the right portion sizes. The atmosphere is busy during lunch times, with walk in self seating. The service is on top of things, friendly.

Other things noticed this location is a kid friendly like atmosphere. Parking is accessable off the street.

The value of this restaurant is worth the time eating here and spending time with family and friends.

I just ate at Eagle Inn for the first time. It won’t be the last! I really like chicken fried steak & gave their’s a try. I quickly finished every last bite. It was delicious and a good portion. Even the mashed potatoes and gravy were impressive. I loved the creamy coleslaw I got as a side. Just the right amount of creaminess, sweet & vinagary. The dinner roll was a VERY pleasant surprise that you just don’t see anymore. It obviously didn’t come out of a bag from someone else. Delicious, yeasty, soft center & crisp outside. I may need to take some of those To Go on my next visit! Well worth the stop. Hearty portions, reasonable price, friendly service. Give it a try!

A great American diner. The place was packed when I arrived, filled with locals. I chose the omelet with American fries and cinnamon toast. I was not disappointed. My compliments go the waitress and cooks!

Horrible experience we actually walked out. We waited 10 min for coffee and water the server came back without anything and put our food order in, then came back with two waters and an orange juice I had canceled. Pretty bummed because the food the is usually really good and I wanted to try their prime rib. After waiting another 5 min for coffee that never came we decided to leave.

The waitress was a trainwreck. Asked for my beef on toast and no ice in my drink. No toast and got ice. She noticed it was not on toast so she said she would go in back. She never did she went straight across the dining room to another table. The beef was salty as hell. I got a refill and said no ice….I got my old ice.
