Jacks is a fast food chain regional to Alabama and I wanted to try this place. They have burgers, fried chicken and breakfast foods. The store is clean and the employees are friendly. The sweet tea is really good and so is the Big Jack burger. The fries are also pretty good. I tried the new bourbon BBQ boneless wings and they were delicious they were nice and crispy and almost tasted like Chinese food.

First, workers give attitude for asking about extra ranch even after we as a customer say, “I need extra ranch and I’ll pay for it”. Then we get home to enjoy a cheeseburger, yes a simple cheeseburger and the burger doesn’t have cheese! What’s so hard about putting cheese on a cheeseburger?

And on of that, we didn’t ask for free food, we paid for it! This happens today, December 8th, 2025.

Unbelievable.

This is one of the best Jack’s restaurants I’ve been to. They’re really busy in the morning and the ladies and gentlemen who work the drive thru are always happy, smiling, and grooving. They’re very polite and accommodating.
Food is fantastic and service is the best

Can you tell me why these people gave me my food open in a paper bag with the napkins and fork just tossed in on my food! No gloves!!! I eat at other locations in Huntsville all the time and these type of foods come in take out Styrofoam black containers! I call because this is unsanitary and I am irritated that you disrespect my patronage this way. You could have told me so I could make a wise decision. What made it so bad. I called to ask why and discuss how dry and horrible the food looks and how unsanitary this is. I asked for the manager and the lady says she the manager. I thinks she lied the reason why is because she proceeds to say that is how the food is supposed to come. I am not brand new! She continues to lie and avoid my direct questions. I have worked fast food you can’t lie to people who know better. JORDAN LANE JACKS is not the place to get good service or food! You Don’t have e to Lie and you don’t have to ha e such a bad attitude. I didn’t do it to you. Whatever er it was. May God have mercy on your soul.

I came in Saturday, March 29th and ordered two stacks of pancakes, a steak biscuit, and a double gravy. I drove 17 minutes to get to my job only to realize that my pancakes and steak biscuit weren’t in the bag. (That was on me I should’ve checked) I tried to call them several times, the 5040 number on the picture and they never answered. So I drove all the way back that 17 minutes. I walked in and waited in line until a young employee asked me “is your food wrong” I said yeah I came in about 30 minutes ago and 3/4s of my order is missing. She proceeded to tell me how it couldn’t have possibly been that long due to the time in my receipt, but I know what the GPS said? She was incredibly rude so I asked for a refund. The manager NEVER came to talk to me and supposedly did a refund for my food I never got. I spent another thirty minutes waiting in the lobby on a receipt for them to finally give me one that doesn’t even say I’ll get a refund just is the receipt. I left a review with the Jacks company asking someone to reach out. THEY NEVER DID. And I still haven’t received my refund. In fact Jacks stole money from me. I worked in fast food, 3+ of those years I worked AT A JACKS my husband is a general manager of a food establishment. I would NEVER be rude to employees. The way the employees at this store treated people there was honestly shocking. I still haven’t gotten my refund and they never reached out to fix it. I’m disputing the charges with my bank. This is ridiculous

My bank says Jacks has to give me a refund. I did the survey on Saturday the day everything happened (since they so graciously responded to me) and nothing has happened and no one has called me. I tried calling corporate and no one answers or calls you back when you leave voicemails. I called the jacks that I went to and they said the general manager isn’t there EVERY SINGLE TIME I called that is if they ever answer. I am just out of the money I spent on food I never received plus the time I spent waiting for them to even do the basic thing I asked them to do which was give me a refund, which they never did.

Went to order the lady kept rushing me to order. Wouldn’t even let me talk to be able to order. Got our order completely wrong all the way to the drink. We asked for light ice and got heavy ice. I said something to the worker and they said sorry. Didn’t even try to fix it. They pulled us up to wait for our order. Get home and the burgers out so messy. My husband won’t even eat it. I asked for mayo and got way to much. The buns you can tell they are old. Like they have been left out. I tried to call and no one will answer and they only had 4 cars in drive thru when I left. I love jacks but the store is definitely gotten bad. Service and food sucked as a whole. Definitely not satisfied at all!

Placed an online order today at 4:30p for two 15 piece big box and 18 piece wings with a pickup time for 5:01p. Made it to this location at 5:04p. Waited until 5:40p before I received my food. The fact there were several people who came in after me and all got their big orders of tenders while I’m standing there. The Hispanic manager flipping out in the back because it was busy. The Asian worker talking about people’s orders. Yes, I order just a thing of gravy because according to the employees…Jacks only gives 3 small scoops for a family mashed potatoes. Then the manager wants to be funny talking about…I understand you’re upset because of the small amount of gravy. So after waiting an hour for chicken tenders when I’m trying to feed my children before work and risking my job about to be late because of y’all wouldn’t be the issue?
FYI…the wings are not breaded!!!! They’re regular wings!!! False advertisement!!!!

A Bitter Contradiction:
Jack’s Family Restaurant is, for some, a place of routine and necessity. Yet, for customers who depend on it, the dining experience is often less a meal and more an exercise in dehumanization. The most immediate policy that strips the visit of any comfort is the arbitrary, iron-clad 30-minute dine-in limit. This constraint transforms a simple act of eating into a stressful race against the clock, fundamentally contributing to a deeply unwelcome and rushed atmosphere.
A restaurant that imposes a timer on its patrons inherently signals that their presence is an inconvenience, not a privilege. For those already struggling, this policy compounds feelings of being unwanted or “worthless.” It dictates that regardless of your investment, your time and comfort are disposable, leaving a bitter taste long after the meal is gone.
This punitive atmosphere seems to align with a broader, chilling sense of exclusion. There is a palpable feeling that the policies—from the restrictive time limit to the general air of scrutiny—are designed to deter or punish the “housing challenged” and those who might need a brief refuge from the elements. A family restaurant should be built on hospitality, but at Jack’s, the overwhelming impression is one of judgmental disdain, turning simple patronage into an anxious performance under a watchful eye.
The financial reality of dining here only deepens the insult. For patrons living on fixed incomes, this restaurant can represent a significant, non-negotiable expense. To spend a shocking 33 percent of one’s monthly SSDI income in an establishment that fails to provide basic respect—and actively makes you feel marginalized—is a profound violation of trust. It turns a large financial commitment into a painful act of endurance.
The enduring tragedy of Jack’s is the intense, contradictory draw it holds. Despite the disdain, the rush, the financial drain, and the feeling of being devalued, the impulse to return speaks volumes—not about the quality of the food or service, but about the brutal reality of limited options. Jack’s needs a drastic overhaul in its policies and its heart, recognizing that every customer, regardless of circumstance, deserves dignity and time at their table.
