I love this place. Warm and inviting ambiance with amazing music. It was a perfect end to our evening. We went for pastries and received excellent service and advice on what to try. The Princess Cake IS as amazing as we were told. I also loved the Whipped Cream Eclair (it was so light) and the Cinnamon Crispie. Street parking right out front is free in the evening. My only disappointment was that they closed at 9pm on a Friday. This bakery has been here since the 70s for a reason. Give it a try if you haven’t already. You won’t be disappointed.

Probably the best dinner deal in town. The short rib was so tender I’m not sure why they even bothered giving me a steak knife — a fork or butter knife was plenty. The chicken schnitzel had good flavor, and while the Caesar was just okay, for the price, I can’t complain. I’ll definitely return.

This is lovely cafe in Burlingame downtown. We went there in thd evening and it was raining. Nice ambience. Not crowded.
Food – We had a cold coffee and it was nice. Enjoyed sipping. We had hot chocolate drink too. This was warm and nice. The blueberry pastry was good.
The cafe is famous for its European style ambience and European flavoured cakes and pasteries. The cafe is bustling with crowd in the mornings for breakfast.

My friends and I went to this place admittedly because the place we originally wanted to go was too packed (I dont care much for crowded places), and im glad we did. Im fairly picky when it comes to desserts. I bought three different desserts to try and honestly they were all amazing. Its definitely become one of my favorite dessert/ pastry places. I want to try all of them now!

Very cute lovely cafe. I tried the Nutella topped cheesecake and it was delicious. The guava cake was also good. All their deserts are good actually.

Copenhagen is one of those rare places where everything just feels right. From morning coffee to pastries, sandwiches, and breads, every visit is a joy. The breakfast is always fresh and satisfying, with crepes and eggs that taste even better when enjoyed outside on the sunny sidewalk.
What makes Copenhagen truly special for our family is the bakery itself. My mom is 100% Danish, and for her, this is the closest experience to the baked goods she grew up with back home. Week after week, she brings home a French loaf, baguettes, and poppyseed rolls—the kind of breads that make a simple meal with cold cuts and cheese feel like a little piece of Denmark. Those are our absolute favorites, and we can never get enough of them.
The pastries and sweets are as beautiful as they are delicious, and the sandwiches make for a perfect lunch—generous, flavorful, and thoughtfully made. The coffee is excellent too: always brewed fresh, with that perfect balance of warmth and energy to start the day.
The service couldn’t be friendlier, and there’s something wonderful about sitting outside, enjoying good food, good coffee, and good company. For us, Copenhagen isn’t just a bakery; it’s a bridge between California and Denmark, and a place where every meal feels a little bit special.

Very friendly service. Line went quickly. Got a cupcake and cookie for kids. Favorite of the cakes was the princess cake. I felt like the other cakes were a bit dry.

With Eurocentric curb appeal with a nice bakery and cafe, a broad variety of options are available. The soup and sandwich combo and apple turnover were exceptional. Staff was friendly, but with several counters available to place orders, made it a bit challenging for first-timers like me to figure out where to go.

I had breakfast before on the restaurant side of this long established shop. This time I went in the bakery side just as they were opening, and it’s like I stepped into a contemporary bakery somewhere in Europe. I sampled several items, creme filled éclaire, custard filled puff, and a crunchy Florentine type of roll with coffee creme in it. Delish!
I’ve found these Eurostyle bakeries elsewhere in the US and they really struggle to get the crispy freshness of butter doughs, rich cremes, and crumbly cookies that are typical on the continent. This shop totally nails them! I would say get these early in the morning to get them fresh.
There are also a wide variety of danishes and cakes, which I can’t speak to, but visually seem to match more of an American palate.

I have been coming here for YEARS. It had always been my favorite place. I little Denmark for my mother and I. Now it is a bit disappointing. The crepes are not the same. Low quality. I don’t know if the change owner, cook…. It really made me sad. Services was great, atmosphere still feels awesome.
