Have tried to go to Chow Burger 4 times. Always around 7-8 pm in their posted open hours. Always call first and their recording confirms they are open. 3 times they have been closed. Burger is delicious, which is the only reason for 2 stars. But posting hours and never being open during those hours is a real bummer. Negative 5 stars for that. I would avoid Chow Burger until they can either open consistently, or at least change their voicemail to let you know they are closed.

Solid place for some nice and simple burgers. Both the kid’s burgers and regular single burgers are tasty. The regular burgers have the lettuce, pickles, and tomatoes where the kids one do not. I liked that the burgers were not wrapped all the way allowing the food to cool down properly. The fries were really good, almost better than the burgers. Overall, cool place to check out.

So burgers are my guilty pleasures and it’s rare I find a classic, simple burger in the wild that beats my own (queue “I’m a bit of a scientist myself” meme).
First off, cool place, friendly people, obviously focused on just burgers and fries. I like places that choose one thing and do it WELL.
Fries were delicious but the burger was one of the best I’ve had, full stop. Cooked perfectly, double was the perfect ratio of all the things.
10/10 will eat again.

Chow’s classic cheeseburger is on par with Dandy’s original… simple and delicious. The bun was soft, not soggy, which imo can make or break a burger experience. fyi, sweet pickles. Fries were crispy and perfect. Great customer service, friendly staff. Finally, yummy and affordable burgers (that aren’t fast-food!) on the westside. Plenty of outdoor seating available and right next to The Lot if you want to grab a beer!

Great burgers at a great price. For someone who wants a nice simple burger that isn’t fast food. Good quality food, and tasty. No complaints here.

We’ve been looking for a great burger at a good price in Bend. Unfortunately this was not it. When a place tells you about the quality of the meat they serve, it sets an expectation. As it is has been with many places in town it’s the lack of execution. What we got was a burger cooked to verge of being a hockey puck. The bun, topping options and the fresh cut fries, though not really crisp, were all good. The price is right yet it just didn’t make me want to go back for more.

My new fav burger spot! Randomly stopped in today because I saw they had a vegan burger. It was one of the very best I’ve EVER had and I have eaten a lot of vegan burgers in the past 16 years! Everything was super fresh. The fries were also delicious. The gals running the place were awesome. Can’t say enough good stuff about this spot — just so glad to have found them and will be back again soon! I’ll try to take a pic next time! I devoured it too quickly! Thank you!!!

Delicious, wife had the veggie and I did the double, both were awesome. Fries were fresh and yummy, kids behind the counter were upbeat and nice to chat with even being buried in orders. Wish it stayed open later on the weekend, otheer burgers near by just don’t hold up.

great tasty burgers!
Staff/customer service is really hit or miss. At times they are completely rude and other times very good friendly service. I do feel bad for them as it is either extremely hot or cold inside while they work. I commend them for being able to work more than 1 hour in this space. The ventilation and HVAC need a serious makeover if the owner cares about the working environment of their staff.
