SO DELICIOUS! Highly recommended.
Excellent service. Must dine here if in the area. I didn’t get a picture of the (2) soups …clam chowder and beef stroganoff fantastic.
Everything was cooked perfectly. Loved the atmosphere. We arrived when doors opened and by the time we left there was just a few tables left. Drinks were well poured.

This spot never disappoints! A classic old steakhouse, absolutely worth going out of your way to hit. Place was packed when we arrived, were seated right away, our waitress was very attentive, even apologized for the potential wait on food as the kitchen was swamped with large parties, yet we had no wait at all! Food was amazing, great prices, and the perfect atmosphere.

Delicious food! Friendly service. One thing that stood out was the fact that they don’t skimp on the toppings…for example: enough dressing for the salad as well as plenty of butter and sour cream for the baked potato. Five stars just for that!

It doesn’t get anymore authentic than this. As a party of four, we somehow came to the same conclusion. The ribeye. The hostess sat us right away, the waitress took our order promptly and our food was delivered with perfect timing. The presentation was great, and clearly the focus was on the steak. It had classic criss cross grill lines and was anything but pretentious. It reminded me of a time gone past, and I wasn’t certain of how this was going to pan out. Well, it over delivered. The steak was cooked perfectly (medium rare) and tasted fantastic. It was juicy, tender and the table went silent. Everyone was more than pleased. I had garlic mashed potatoes as a side, which complimented the steak continuously. The pat of butter on top of the ribeye was so satisfying not only in taste, but to watch it melt as I skillfully maneuvered it to all surface areas of this delicious cut of beef. I think there was a salad involved, but I can’t remember because I must have blacked out from sensory overload. I wanted more, but sadly my plate was clean, or so I thought. It was time for dessert, which I normally don’t go for but after this boneless bonanza I just had to. The lemon cheesecake sealed my doom. Again, the table went silent. It’s hard to recall all the details in those few seconds of bliss but I’ve never had better. Wow. These people know what they’re doing, and it’s obviously not their first rodeo. Authentic, locals, great atmosphere, service, excellent food and worth every penny (we left none, just paper currency.) Do not pass this place up, you will have made one of the greatest mistakes of your culinary life. I will be back. I must.

Omg. The food was so good. We sat at the bar and the bartender was really nice and chatted with us the whole time and even put up with my drunk shenanigans(i was excited I thought my burger came with a dinner roll but it was actually just the top bun) we ordered the BBQ potatoes with brisket and it was phenomenal. My husband got the Buffalo steak and I got the jump burger and we shared and omg everything was so good. Then we got dessert and you can definitely tell they don’t get the desserts out of a pre-made freezer box. If we ever make it this far again we will definitely stop in again. So good.

On recommendation, we popped in on our way to Devils Tower for an early dinner. Jen’s birthday dinner! I had the bison ribeye, which was done medium rare just rightJen had the dry aged ribeye med rare. We both had the garlic mashed potatoes served loaded. Oh yes.
The salad was super and well dressed.
Everything was delicious. Service was great.
Bison was leaner and more complex than the dry aged ribeye, which was one of the best steaks I’ve ever tasted.

“The best meal I’ve had — and it’s tucked away in small-town Wyoming.”
I’m still in awe of how extraordinary this dining experience was. Buffalo Jump Steakhouse is the kind of hidden gem that reminds you why the best meals aren’t always found in big cities — sometimes they’re discovered in places rich with roots, stories, and soul.
What truly sets this place apart is its spirit. Sisters Callie Gordon and Casey Moore have turned their family heritage near Devil’s Tower into a dining experience that feels both elegant and authentic. You can taste the pride of generations in every bite.
It’s rare to find a restaurant where the food, atmosphere, and story all align — but Buffalo Jump Steakhouse does exactly that. Without question, it was the best meal I’ve had in years — and I’d drive hours to experience it again.

Our waiter, Austin was great! The food was delicious. We arrived at 4:00 when they opened, no wait to be seated. Prior to leaving business was picking up and it started to get busy.
