The Boneless Chicken 65 Biryani was amazing. Perfect spice, lots of chicken, and tasty raita. Loved it!

Absolutely disgraceful experience. This place is a joke. We were told the food would be ready in 10 minutes — we waited nearly an hour. And for what? Cold soup, no rice, no spoon — nothing was right. I had to beg for basic things like a spoon or rice. I waited 15 minutes just to get rice for my soup. The waitress looked like she couldn’t care less, didn’t listen, didn’t look at us, and clearly didn’t know what she was doing. The staff was completely clueless and the service was beyond pathetic. It felt like they forgot we even existed. Honestly, I’ve had better service at gas stations. If I could give this place negative stars, I would. Save your time, money, and sanity — don’t come here.

This was honestly one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. We waited 50 minutes for our food, even though we were told it would only take 10 minutes. The waitress didn’t pay attention to us at all — she brought soup but forgot the rice, or brought the food but forgot the spoon. I had to wait 15 minutes just for rice to eat with my soup. The service was incredibly disorganized, slow, and careless. It felt like nobody knew what they were doing. If I could give zero stars, I would. Absolutely unacceptable.

I accidentally stumbled upon this place while ordering online. I’m a huge fan of Chao Phraya (the Thai restaurant that used to be next door), and I guess the two restaurants combined at some point; the menus are not separated online, so beware. I’m a huge fan of Indian cuisine, too, so I decided to order chicken chettinad and a kashmiri naan from the “new” Indian section of the menu.

They didn’t have the option to select heat level online. I have a pretty high spice tolerance, but I tend to go medium so the heat doesn’t overpower the dish. This dish was very hot! I still ate it all and was able to handle it, but if we don’t have the option to select heat, they should not default to something this hot without warning! The dish had pretty decent flavors, otherwise. The naan was gooey inside, almost like it was filled with honey; I’ve never had a kashmiri naan like this before, and I couldn’t eat more than two bites of it — really sweet and weird texture.

If you order from this place, definitely stick to the Thai food. Chao Phraya has amazing curries. I was very disappointed by the Indian food.

To all fellow Americans take this from a British Pakistani who knows his curries.

I have had a few experiences of so called Indian food at Oxford , Dayton , Richmond and TBH I was very deflated at the so called Curry that was being served to my fellow American friends as the food was very poor.

So after a few recommendations from other South Asians whom I have met on my travels the same name popped up ‘Ravis’

We were met by a lovely lady who seated us I asked to speak to the chef as the previous let downs.

The main man Ravi himself came out and we chatted for a while and he said I got you don’t worry.

So I ordered Dum Goat Biranyi with Four Pulkas (chapattis) along with Lamb & Spinach Curry Garlic & Coriander Nan & a Beer.

The rice with the goats meat was so flavoured with the meat so tender is just melted away.

The Lamb & Spinach left my partner speechless
Ravi is the man his Dum Biranyi is just like home.

We just bought chicken tikka, the tandoori item for 15.99$ and guess what, we paid for rice more than chicken. First of all the quantity is less and to our surprise, half the container is filled with rice. Who would pay 15.99 for rice?? When we asked the same question to the management, they said that this is supposed to be for Americans. Man! You guys are either bluffing Americans and robbing from them or just giving away vague responses.

Have been going here few times every year – food was always pretty good and the price was not over the top… I like they combined the Thai and Indian restaurants together and you can now mix both cuisines from the same table (seating was just 4-5 small tables at Ravis before). And glad the food is equally good no matter which cuisine. You can sit anywhere you want but recommend the Thai side to the right which seems to be more upscale although it’s the same waiting staff who btw were pretty quick (after they combined, went once for a weekday lunch and recently for a weekday dinner).
Noting that there are a LOT more tables between the two places now (30?)- so I can see how they could get overloaded during peak times unless they have more than 2 waiters? And they are good folks – don’t expect it to be like a corporate run place.

Authentic Indian food. Delicious. OK prices. I gave it a four-star because it was very difficult to communicate in English. A customer of the place came to our aide. We ended up ordering Hyderabadi Chicken, Chicken 65 and Garlic Naan. Everything was delicious. The Chicken 65 has an interesting story. The winning dish was definitely the Hyderabads Chicken. The Curry was so good! As I said. Definitely a winner. I also had a Mango Lassi that came in a plastic cup. I would’ve appreciated if it had come on a regular cup. I will likely come back to explore their menu a little more.

This was the best Indian food I’ve ever had!! And it’s because they’re unique. Their food won’t taste like the usual Indian place. Some folk give 1 star cuz it’s not what they like, but I’ll be coming back again and again!! Definitely recommend chicken Korma and chicken 65.

Their chicken is so tender! Idk how they do it.

Warning: Their food is always a least a bit spicy. Lowest they go seems to be like a spicy level 2 or 3 at other places.

Atmosphere and service makes it feel like you’re there to relax. The slower pacing (but not slow!) makes me feel like I’m eating at somebody’s home, not a restaurant. Some folk give 1 star cuz they want the hyper-speed of US culture. This place is an oasis of a slower, more humble culture.

I’m so glad Ravi’s took the risk and did something unique, rather than pandering to the masses!! Perhaps I’ll start looking at other 3~4 star rated places to find the best food.

PS – Haywards 5000 is one of the best beers I’ve ever had too. And I’ve had a lot.

I’m changing my review after 3years because the quality and taste has gone down badly. Pan fry biryani is not the same, even after requesting them to make properly it doesn’t taste good at all. Raita is always sour (like weeks old yogurt). I’m not going to this place again and wasting money.

place has best egg biryani. It has a very different flavor which makes me come back again and again. It is also called as egg pan biryani.
I even tried chicken pan biryani which tasted similar.

Another dish I highly encourage to try is Chicken/mutton special biryani which has fried chicken over dum biryani which gives it unique taste.

Food from here is delicious but did experience extra wait even when there are less guests and a few times food was not served as per request which they corrected after bringing to their notice.
