Had a great lunch with my family. The staff was so friendly with a large party and patient with the kids. Service was attentive and the food was tasty. I had the grilled fish tacos and they were fantastic!

I had the carne asada burrito with an 805 and it hit the spot. Walkable distance from Corwin Ford and good prices. The place was busy and bartender was relatively fast.

Visited Los Compadres while in Reno and we were glad we did. The food reminded me of the same style of Mexican food I grew up eating in Phoenix. Their tacos come stuffed with shreaded beef then deep fried. The tamales are large with pork inside. Cheese enchiladas are great too. The cheese queso dip was a bit different from whats typicality found at restaurants, its very stringy, but still recommended.

I want Mexican food once in a blue moon. My husband went to get us takeout tonight and I was SO EXCITED for my tacos. We’ll, when I open my plate, I see lettuce and red sauce on my tacos, which it didn’t say on the menu, and the server didn’t ask if the sauce was ok. I remember them being just meat, with beans and rice on the side. If there’s more, they should list it, or tell you.
No utensils, no napkins, burnt edge beans.

Great food. Absolutely terrible service. Been in hospitality for 15 years so I have a higher than normal expectation of service. Ignored at the door, had to greet myself, server took order very quickly but then neglected me for an hour with no check up, mind you this was a 1-top on a Friday evening with a line out the door. Been here before and it was better but the absolute lack of service or communication without anyone taking ACCOUNTABILITY for it was insane.

Los Compadres is always busy and lively. The food is consistently good, excellent chips, salsa, guacamole, refried beans, rice, chile rellono and carnitas tacos. Service is friendly and very gracious, sometimes slammed so can be a little slow on occasion, but they work hard at it and team up.
Really enjoy this place.

Went in early for quick meal by self. Very quick service. Chips and Salsa really good as usual. Had the Street style Carnitas Tacos, with Onions and Cilantro on soft Corn Tortillas also served with Green Tomatilla Salsa plus Rice & Beans. It was just delicious, simply excellent Tacos, Rice & Beans.

Amazing service and atmosphere. I come from a place with grade A mexican food and although it was large portions the food absolutely needed seasoning. It lacked the true flavor of real mexican cuisine.

Chips and salsa hit the table very quickly with both hot and mild salsas. However, the chips are cold and were clearly made some time well in the past. Service was prompt although sporadic.

I had the Bistek Ranchero. On the plus side, they do not overdo the peppers and onions which is a plus. There is also a decent amount of meat. That said, the meat was fairly tough and there was just way too much fat and gristle. About 20% – one bite out of every five – was a lump of fat or a piece of meat with way too much gristle. Were I to return, I would definitely get something else. Everything else on the menu seemed to be pretty standard fare. And you can never go wrong with grilled chicken fajitas. So my three stars is right in the middle, until further exploration. (I try to be reasonable.)

An observation: this little upscale shopping center seems to invite a pampered, mildly obnoxious, elitist crowd. I certainly don’t penalize the restaurant for this but you may want to consider the clientele if you’re planning a nice evening and the tables to your right and left have little Kaitlyn’s waxing on about their high school AP assignment, middle-aged ladies gossiping over cocktails, and preppy dudes trying to out-do one another on the subjects of golf and finance. Apparently, the country club restaurant is closed tonight. Not my cup of tea.

This is our go-to spot on Friday nights. Good food & drinks. The staff is normally REALLY good to deal with, although one of the waiters can make you feel like he’s running off to a fire when he rushes you. Hahaha! Overall, great place.
