THE MODEST CHARM OF ENGLISH BOURGEOIS ELEGANCE

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

If I had to give this place a title, it would be exactly that.

Little Hen is not just a restaurant — it is an experience. From the moment you step inside, you are transported somewhere between a refined London townhouse and a delicate countryside tea salon in Old England.

If you’re longing for a proper afternoon tea in London but find yourself in Miami, this is your answer. The atmosphere is effortlessly aristocratic without being pretentious — polished, graceful, and quietly confident. There is something beautifully restrained about it. The florals, the china, the soft pastel palette, the gentle hum of conversation — everything whispers elegance rather than shouting luxury.

And yes, you’ll even spot guests in charming hats, fully embracing the spirit of a true English tea party. It feels like stepping into a scene where time slows down and manners matter again.

The service is impeccable — attentive yet discreet. The presentation of each dish is delicate and thoughtful, as if prepared for a royal garden gathering. Whether you come for tea, brunch, or simply to indulge in something sweet, you leave feeling as though you’ve briefly lived inside a refined British daydream.

If you want to feel, just for a moment, like you’ve been invited to tea in Old England — this is the place.

Absolutely five stars.

Wow.. never thought i would be that one to write a bad review on a place and just move on. But the way my group was treated last week will be the reason i don’t recommend any to this place. Yes, it’s that aesthetic and atmosphere you look for in places in miami for the social media aspect but the drinks are DISGUSTINGLY UNENJOYABLE. not just mine everyone at the table. I got the Rose lychee martini literally tasted like dirty rose water and not a drop of alcohol. My friend that is pregnant asked for a Virgin drink that was best on the menu and wow it was nasty. We let the server know and she apologized and said she would remove it from the bills. At check out she showed us the bill with them still on it she said oh sorry let me tell the manager. The manager walks up with an attitude and says what’s wrong we let her know that the drinks were untouched. She was very unaccommodating and saw she was trying to come up with an excuse to have us pay full price while holding the handheld to my face so i can pay already for something we took a sip of and didn’t want. She thought…. and was like oh all our items are final sale and it’s on their website as a policy . i asked politely if she can show me , she didn’t find it and was like wellllll it’s on their menu i asked to show me please and she was showing me something that was talking about gratuity as if i was dumb!!! Every restaurant i’ve been to i never heard of FINAL SALE and if so and least have it written be more accommodating and not lie to your customers. I paid it full and tipped my waiter aside from the gratuity that was included because it wasn’t her fault but the managers lack of customer service. aesthetic 10/10

Such a vibe. Whose ready for a Tea party? Put on your dress and have a day party at the Lil Hen. We went for bite to celebrate my birthday and the atmosphere was so cute. I loved the flowery decor and the tea fine china plates and cups. The food was delicious. Bel our server was amazing and recommended some great choices. I highly recommend a reservation, especially on the weekends.

I was excited to dine outdoors, but Mother Nature had other plans. The indoor dining room was nice with a very English feel to it. The food was great and service was good. The avo toast was great, would have loved a sourdough bread instead though. All in all, pretty good. Would return.

Little Hen in Miami is absolutely adorable! If you’re looking for vibes, this is the spot. Both the indoor seating and the outdoor patio are beautifully designed—bright, feminine, and picture-perfect for your feed.

And the food? A1. As a self-proclaimed breakfast buff, the Bananas Foster French Toast was *chef’s kiss* ‍ — rich, flavorful, and worth every bite.

Perfect for girlie meetups, Sweet 16s, bridal showers, or a cute brunch with the ladies. A solid 10/10 recommendation for anyone who loves a beautiful atmosphere and great food.

Little Hen is an absolute gem in Midtown, especially if you’re looking for a standout brunch experience. The food is consistently excellent, with a menu that’s both creative and comforting, and every dish feels thoughtfully prepared. The customer service truly sets this place apart – attentive, warm, and genuinely welcoming without being overbearing. The atmosphere is beautiful and charming, making it a perfect spot for a relaxed brunch or a special occasion. Add in the prime Midtown location, and Little Hen is easily a place you’ll want to return to again and again.

Excellent restaurant! The decor and cleanliness are lovely. The food is delicious. The chilaquiles were very good. I also really enjoyed the egg tacos with carnitas. The house tea is delicious! I’ve tried several dishes and I’ve loved them all! The sweet bread is delicious and fresh. I highly recommend it and will continue to return for breakfast and lunch. Prices are reasonable.

Little Hen is peculiar in a way that I enjoyed our severs attitude and her way of explaining which items were not available and which could be nice substitutions. (Thanks Julieta L)

Unfortunately, I believe that their seating design should be accommodated better. We were two this time but we were seated by the restroom. That’s a total no no. Usually there are lines and there’s always someone going in and out. We did have a reservation and we requested to be changed before we sat but our floor assistant did not even look around. She just said “I will look but there aren’t any” which we clearly say when we entered. (Table 36)

I know restaurants cannot fully control the noise level. But for an establishment to offer tea ceremony and request a dress code I was expecting a more relaxed and calm ambiance. I could not hear my friend who was infront of me. The music plus the constant chatter was not to my liking since it’s advertise differently.

Future issues like these could be avoided by just removing the small table. (Which is another little issue) we order several dishes and there was not enough space to place them.

On a good note, the food was delicious. It was warm and fresh. Loved my dish and the drinks ordered. The items I selected came around to $100 including tip. So it was a reasonable range.

Will I return? Hmmm not sure. I would have to return with a bigger group so I won’t be seated by the restrooms?

See photos of some of the items we ordered. Again. Food was delicious and julieta was great, but the seating arrangements and the effort to accommodate us could be better. Along with the ambiance.
