Reviews
The cassata cake was stale, overly dry, and unappetizing. Each time I visited, the cake appeared as if it had been there for weeks, lacking proper packaging or refrigeration. Additionally, I was offered a tray of stale Christmas cookies that had been baked a month prior. Overall, I found the experience to be quite unsatisfactory and disheartening.
I typically come here late after work when I don’t have time to cook, and I was informed that their cheeses and some ingredients are imported from Italy. Unfortunately, I ended up waiting an additional 30-45 minutes at home just to reheat the food after purchasing it.
This experience was particularly disheartening because I had recently dined at another Italian restaurant, where I ordered the same dishes along with dessert, and my experience was vastly superior. I left with leftovers and a genuine appreciation for the food. I wish I could express more favorable sentiments about this place, but I feel compelled to provide honest feedback in hopes of a better experience if I return in the future. In my view, there is no reason to travel far from home to experience better dining options.
On our most recent visit, my husband enjoyed the ravioli, while I tried the seafood cannelloni with a lobster cream sauce. While the dish wasn’t exactly as I had envisioned from the description, it was still outstanding—the pasta sheets tasted incredibly fresh, and the flavors were perfectly balanced. The bread served with dinner was hot and fresh, with a wonderful crusty quality, and the Pinot Noir I enjoyed was excellent.
To top off the meal, my husband took home a dark chocolate cake, which was a perfect sweet treat. It reminded me if a nostalgic fudgy Little Debbie brownie. Looking forward to exploring more entrees and bakery items. We really enjoy the outdoor dining experience.
This cozy spot offers an authentic Italian dining experience with high-quality ingredients and well-crafted dishes. Definitely a hidden gem worth discovering!
After our meal, one of our group spoke to another employee who said he is observed our server’s attitude and he would be reporting it to management. My question is if he observed it, why did he not do something about it. Needless to say, we will not be returning anytime soon and we will be sharing our experience with friends and neighbors.
In regard to your response to my review, it appears that you totally missed the intent of my comment about the first thing he said there is a 22% gratuity-not welcome or any other thing to make us all feel welcome.
The sporadic arrival of our food indicates no one appeared to be running the kitchen. The tepid food tells me if you have a thermometer nobody uses it. Your response to my review tells me your staff just follows your lead.
Never again and I plan on sharing both my review and your response with all my friends.
My companion had a personal pizza that looked like a freezer pizza, though we were reassured that it was freshly made. It was a thick layer cheese on top with some pepperoni, plus sauce underneath that was not visible.
If I was reviewing the bakery alone, it would get 5 stars. Their table bread was so good I could have made it a meal. We gobbled up the small loaf, and the server took away the tray without offering to bring out more to have with our. entree. We also picked out some Italian pastries to bring home. Their cannoli was just what you’d expect from an Italian bakery, delicious!
I would go there again if I was looking for a place to eat before seeing a movie, or if I wanted to pick up some authentic Italian pastries, but I probably wouldn’t go out of my way to eat there.
Food: Food was pretty good, dessert was better.
Service: Darren was nice, there were may be 3 people waiting tables 2 people behind the counters, but for some reason everything seemed like it took a while. From getting seated to getting menus to getting food.
Environment: Very mom and pop feel. Definitely give you the vibe that it’s authentic Italian.
NTT [[Next Time Try]]: More desserts from the fridge lol.
