Waiters Marcos and Melissa were a stand out today. I had a question to improve the accuracy of my order request Melissa was very helpful and took all the time necessary answered all my questions. Thanks for your help Melissa!
After discovering this small Great American restaurant chain when Possible I’ve decided to drive OUT MY WAY to different Corkys, let’s just say A FEW MILES AWAY. I appreciate all contacts with staff Hostess, Waiter, Bus Boy and Manager experience is service with a smile. CORKYS FAMILY RESTAURANTS INC. needs to be proud of the staff here considering your ongoing manpower issues. The wait time was very efficient and timely. LOL On occasion if you want great American breakfast leave your DIET at the door if not THIS AINT THE PLACE FOR YOU. Currently I’m in Upland, Ca I had the SIGNATURE CORKYS OMELETTE with the home fries. I’d ask for extra gravy next time. Basically everything and the kitchen sink included. Quite frankly I have enough left overs to wrap it up with an EXTRA LARGE FLOWER TORTILLA at home and enjoy at a later date. Geez makes me wonder which Cory’s will be on my next culinary adventures?! Oh and if you have enough space left in the belly top it off with GRANDMA’s CORKY’s PIES whole, personal, slice, CREAM PIE, FRUIT PIE, SPECIALTY PIE, and or PUMPKIN PIE. Adelante…
We ordered three items:
• Sirloin Steak Sandwich with steak fries
• Chicken Fried Steak with mashed potatoes and a cup of soup
• Create-Your-Own Omelette
The steak sandwich, ordered medium rare, was dry, chewy, and completely lacking in flavor. To make matters worse, the bun was soggy, and the steak fries were stale.
The chicken fried steak was just as bad — bland, rubbery, and forgettable. The mashed potatoes had no depth of flavor, and the soup was practically colored water with no substance.
The only halfway decent dish was the omelette — not great, but hard to mess up eggs.
To top it off, the meal was shockingly expensive — three entrees cost us nearly $70. For a diner-style restaurant, that’s just not acceptable, especially when the food is this underwhelming.
Corky’s used to be a solid spot for hearty breakfasts and comfort food, but sadly, the quality has gone downhill while the prices have gone up.
Also bought some of there cookies and they are good but not great.
