Lovely vibes and great location start this place off on a good note. Lots of street parking and the restaurant is located on a very cute walkable street. Service was great. The food added to more of the great things to like about this place. The Brown butter chicken was outstanding. So simple but sooo delicious. All of the entrees were served hot and fresh and served in large portion Sizes.

Kate was amazing! We came in on Valentine’s Day last minute without a reservation (yikes!). The food, service and vibes were amazing. Kate was attentive, communicative, and friendly. We left full and happy! Thank you so much

Warm cozy atmosphere with country music in the background, great food and service. Went for Saturday breakfast and was seated right away by the windows seats. Nicely decorated with lights and American vibe, food was delicious!

What a lovely space for a party. We had a Happy Hour B-day party yesterday at Copperwood and it was simply A M A Z I N G ! Sarah our server was so accommodating and brought out our food and drinks Lickety-split. We enjoyed the popcorn thoroughly and felt so welcomed the entire time we were there. The goat cheese balls are fantastic, the charcuterie board was enjoyed by all and the birthday girl said her short ribs were really tasty. Thank you so much for a lovely time. We will be back

The food was great, everything we ordered was good, and the service was friendly and efficient. No complaints at all! It’s a solid go-to in Shirlington for good food and a comfortable atmosphere. Parking in the area can get a little tricky at times, but overall it’s a great experience every visit.

I was pleasantly surprised by the complimentary popcorn appetizer, a fun and unique touch that was a great twist on the usual bread basket.
I ordered the chicken and waffles, and it was absolutely outstanding. The chicken was perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and juicy within, and the waffles were light and delicious, the potatoes were great too. This is definitely a dish I would recommend to anyone visiting.

My friend treated me to a late birthday dinner. We ate fairly early as we had movie tickets. The restaurant was somewhat empty when we arrived but filled up rapidly as the evening wore on.
Our waiter brought us a small plate of mini cornmeal muffins with butter. I was very hungry and ate all four of them (luckily my friend doesn’t care for corn muffins). For starters I ordered the Caesar salad (1/2 portion). It’s a generous portion and more than enough for an appetizer. My friend got the Fried Green Tomatoes, which he enjoyed.
For the main dish, I got the Sea Scallops with Risotto and he got the Tavern Burger. My Risotto was delicious, but the scallops were quite salty (but they did taste good). The burger was good…but also salty!
Overall we enjoyed our meal.
Service was very friendly and efficient.
It was a nice birthday meal.

Probably the only restaurant we haven’t been to in this block. Went here for weekend brunch and had the deviled eggs, steak omelet, spicy avocado burger, and steak and eggs. The flavor was just average with the deviled eggs and burger under seasoned . Nothing to write home about. But less than hour after returning home, a sudden case of diarrhea. Since this was our first meal of the day, it can only be attributed to this meal. Specifically, the steak and eggs. The price doesn’t really dictate the size of this meal either. In any case, we would be hard pressed to return.

Great brunch! Our party of three started with juice, coffee and an Elderflower Mimosa; the Biscuit board and a yogurt parfait. We lead into the breakfast sandwich, crabcake Benny and shrimp and Grits for entrees, and absolute nothing disappointed. The service was great, the atmosphere was nice and the food was excellent.
The outdoor patio is dog friendly, with water dishes at the entrance.
We were just visiting for the weekend and we left glad we decided to try it out!
Definitely recommend to others.

Had dinner on our weekend trip to DC. Enjoyed the atmosphere. We had the duck and the sea scallops. Both were amazing. For our appetizer we ordered the mussels and the meatballs. Then for desserts the bread pudding and the Apple blueberry crumble. Our drinks were a glass of wine and George peach moonshine. This food was so amazing. For the overall check we were at $168 and some change but for the portion size and the quality of the food. We were not disappointed at all
