I’ve had a good experience in Almandi restaurant at Buffalo. They have good amount of parking and there’s a separate family area which also includes prayer area. The food was quite reasonable. The service was good as well. Can’t complain.
We’ve had Fahsha and Half chicken Mandi. It’s kinda Yemeni Style. I believe they have Hookah option as well in the non family area.

Had the half chicken, and lamb and both were very good. The food didn’t take long at all to get to our table and everything was seasoned well. The guy at the front was helpful when we needed things and there plenty of tables and seating for people and families. The red chutney is a must though if you wanna really enjoy your Mandi.

First time trying yemeni food and I was not disappointed. I got the lamb haneeth and the fahsah. The lamb fell right off the bone and was full of flavor while the fahsah had to be one of the best things I’ve eaten anywhere. I would return for sure if I come back to Buffalo

Visiting from Canada and so glad we found this gem! The Fahsah is authentic and bursting with flavor, and the Chicken Mandi rice is truly unreal—a level of deliciousness I haven’t been able to find back home. Amazing food, great prices, and plenty of space for the family. This is now my go-to spot in Buffalo

One of the good restaurants in Buffalo is being dragged down by its front-desk staff. The older Arabic man working there consistently creates an unpleasant and disrespectful experience. His behavior toward Bengali customers is unacceptable—rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional—while he behaves politely with Arabic customers. Even when approached with respect, he responds with hostility. This is not a misunderstanding—this is a pattern.

He seems to believe that Bengali people cannot spend money, which is not only false but insulting. Let me be very clear: the Bengali community already operates dozens of successful restaurants in Buffalo. We contribute, we support, and we spend—we do not need anyone’s approval.

At this point, the real question is for the owner: Why is someone with such openly biased behavior representing your business at the very first point of contact? Keeping a person like this at the front desk is not just bad judgment—it is actively harming your restaurant’s reputation

An absolute gem in Buffalo area, especially for meat lovers. You get the best bang for your buck’s. Their lamb Mandi is unreal. My all time favorite spot for lunch.

I waited to post this. Hate giving bad reviews. I have gone to a competitor for years and was encouraged by a friend to try this place. The owner was a fine person. I just didn’t believe the food was that good.

I spent $130 before Christmas for what I believe was a great feast for our family and guests. So many good reviews. The rice was almost dry. The lamb was a piece of fat with a little meat. The chicken was very good. The hummus was almost watery with little flavor.

Maybe I expected so much more, but the consensus with my family was the same.

Sorry for a bad review, but I always share extremely good and extremely bad experiences.
