First, the food portions are huge and delicious! I ordered the spinach pie and gyro. The portion was so big I ate it for supper and again for breakfast (for only $15), enjoying it both times. The workers here seem to be real Greeks, so I’m guessing the food is authentic.
The employees are friendly and a lot of fun. They actually forgot my order. When my brother and our friend had finished theirs, my brother went up to ask about mine. They were so apologetic, they added a side of fries and offered free ice cream for everyone, and a gift card for a free combo meal besides! It was well worth the wait, and I appreciated their attitudes.
I’ll definitely be thinking of B-52 the next time I get together with friends in the area.
I have a few more things to add. The olives are really good and have pits in, which Ina Garten says is the real deal. The pita is actual Middle Eastern pita. The feta is really creamy. The hot cocoa was good. They really pick quality ingredients and pay attention to detail.
I ordered a gyro combo. It had enough toppings and meat for two gyros, fries were golden crisp, and hot. Next time I’ll order extra Tzkikis or however you spell it. Some extra onions, and ask for a extra pita bread. Gyro meat was deelishuss.
Our food was hot, delicious, and a great portion! Dare I say the Pepsi was crisp and made me believe in fountain drinks again! Oh yeah, the custard was cold and sweet!
All around, a 10 out of 10! We will be back!
Not our usual type of place, it was just for a quick bite after hanging at the pool, as B52 is fast food-ish. Certainly not a bad thing, just different for us. The interior is much like a fast food place with many model planes lining the walls.
Service can be difficult to rate as you order and pay at the counter, and receive a number to take to your table so the runner can find you to deliver your food. The girl at the counter was very friendly and answered questions about the extensive menu. However they don’t seem to know the difference between batter and breading. I do not like battered onion rings so I always ask if they are battered or breaded before I order them. I was told they were breaded. Nope. What I received was battered.
Very curious variety of menu items for a place that would APPEAR to serve the standard fare. One of my friends had a Gyro and soup, the other had the Chicken Shish Kabob, and I had to have a Bacon Cheese Burger with Onion Rings (already talked about this). The burger was delicious. Cooked to my preference and a good size. You have to get your own condiments and carry out box for your leftovers as there is no table service other than the runner bringing your food.
I would not skip going here again as the food is VERY good.
