Reviews
When we arrived, the parking lot was nearly empty, which initially made us wonder if they were open. Inside, the restaurant was relatively simple in décor — nothing particularly special — but overall it appeared reasonably clean. Some tables had leftover dishes and drinks on them, and it wasn’t clear if guests were expected to clear their own tables or if staff handled cleanup. There did not seem to be much active table maintenance happening during our visit.
We ordered a cheese pizza to share and focaccia with garlic dipping sauce. I confirmed at the counter that the focaccia would come with the garlic sauce, and I specifically asked for it to be served as an appetizer before the pizza. The staff member confirmed this and said it would be brought out first.
The pizza was estimated to take about 25 minutes, which we understood. However, the focaccia did not arrive as requested. When our order was called, it turned out to be the pizza — not the appetizer. After asking about the focaccia, we were told it had been forgotten and would be brought out shortly. Unfortunately, it arrived after we had already eaten most of the pizza.
The pizza itself was served very hot and fresh. The crust was decent, and the first slice was enjoyable while warm. However, once it cooled, the flavor became fairly basic. We ordered cheese only since we were unsure of the ingredients in other toppings. Overall, it was good when freshly made but did not stand out in flavor compared to other highly rated pizza spots.
The biggest disappointment was the garlic sauce experience. We had traveled specifically expecting a distinctive garlic sauce based on reviews, but the focaccia arrived with a standard tomato-style sauce instead. This was confusing, especially since I had confirmed the garlic sauce at the counter. That inconsistency affected the overall experience significantly.
Additionally, the timing of the appetizer and order mix-up meant we weren’t able to take home as much food as we had planned. What was intended to be a shared meal with leftovers for family turned into finishing nearly the entire pizza while waiting for the focaccia.
Service felt inattentive at times, with several employees appearing disengaged during our visit. It seemed like there may have been opportunities for better coordination and table monitoring, especially during slower periods.
While the restaurant was not unsanitary, and the food was served hot, the overall experience did not match the expectations set by the online reviews. Based on our visit, we would not plan to return.
Upon arrival, the young female was very friendly and told us she would be right with us after dealing with another customer before us. As stated, within 65 minutes of the wait time, they had our order ready to go. The pizza itself was freshly made and delicious. To start, the dough was thin and very crispy. For my personal pizza, I had the sausage, Italian sausage, pineapple, & fresh mushrooms and I’m happy to say they did not skimp on toppings. For its price and size, the personal pizza was more than enough for me.
The only downside was the lengthy wait time. I highly advise customers to call in early to avoid the long wait if you’re looking to place an order.
Overall, I enjoyed my pizza and I definitely will be back to order more. I recommend everyone to check out Antonino’s if you’re in the area and looking for great pizza.
Overall experience I’d give it a 3/5 because it was average at best, and in my opinion, overpriced.
