The food and service was very good. Our server was polite and very helpful. Loved the tempura veggies & shrimp also had two rolls that were delicious. Parking is a bit more challenging downtown but worth the extra. I will be returning.

Drove 2 hours one way to go here for my Christmas present from my husband. I’ve been coming here for over a decade since it was in the toys are us plaza. I’ve never ever been disappointed and I am always beyond my expectations with every visit. I truly treasure this place and hope you all enjoy it too!

1st time here. Best sushi, I can recall ever having. Service was a bit slow. However, we did order 14 rolls. I watched, and the sushi chef seemed to make every roll to perfection. The taste and presentation proved that to be true.

The house was not packed so there is no reason for that.
On top of it, the food quality was subpar – to say the least.
The gyosa were lukewarm and very oily.
Full of grizzle, too.
Very unpleasant!
The 2 types of sushi were no better.
The smallest we ever had , and falling apart (not wrapped tight).
Tasteless, too.
I eat salty, but the soy sauce was way too salty.
Frankly, i am surprised the restaurant didn’t have the low salt option for it, given that most people stay away from high salt content food.
My green hot tea was lukewarm.
We needed some more food, but decided to just pay and leave, before experiencing more bad food.

Authentic Japanese in NPR. Only a few notable sushi spots in greater Tampa and this is one of them. Sushi was the right temp, tastes great and came out fairly quickly. Good service, server kept my soda full. We will definitely be back.

We’ve been between favorite sushi places, but I think we’ve (re)found one finally! We had been to Kazu’s when they were near Toys R Us, but it’s been YEARS and we didn’t realize they just moved! Lol. So I decided I wanted to go for my bday once we found out and I’m soo glad we did!! It was wonderful! We’ll definitely be back soon.

Great little sushi place with a wonderfully friendly staff to get lunch or dinner at if you’re visiting Downtown NPR! Every time I visit here the experience is always delightful, when you walk in you’re greeted by staff members with sincere warmth. The servers, chefs, and all of the staff are very knowledgeable, professional, and have such a positive energy that it’s infectious. If you’re new to Asian cuisine, no question is the wrong question and they are happy to help with anything you need, because I’ve brought friends here, and even when I came my first time in June 2023, it was a bit overwhelming because of how huge the menu is! It’s definitely worth it though, and the staff is super attentive without being too intrusive, it’s the perfect balance! It’s rare that the food, service, and decor all combine to such an excellence the way Kazu’s does. Everything we ate was flavorful and delicious. It was very very delightful! It’s always very good. I personally love sitting and eating at the sushi bar because it gives you that more authentic experience watching the chefs make the meals for you, and then they hand them to you right there. The rolls are great, they have specials everyday if we want to go a more affordable route on rolls, but if you’re looking for a more specific type of roll, I highly recommend the ‘Rainbow Roll’ and the ‘Kazu’s House Roll’. The ‘Tempura Japanese Bagel Roll’ is very delicious as well, if you’re not looking for rolls, the ‘Whitefish Teriyaki’ is to die for, actually it’s to LIVE for, comes with white rice, miso soup, and it also had fried vegetables, I think it was stir fry, either way it was scrumptious! Might I emphasize how good the miso soup is, as well as the edamame, oh and the sake! The Sour Apple Sake is a must every time for me, I need to try the plum they have, they also have strawberry but you have to order it by the bottle. They have so much variety when it comes to beverages, whether they are alcoholic or not! This place has it all, definitely a lunch/dinner highlight, highly highly recommend. Keep up the good work team Kazu!

This is my wife and I favorite sushi spot. The atmosphere is great. They just moved to a new location so the place is way bigger but still has the cozy atmosphere! The sushi is great for the price point. It’s tasty it is unique you most definitely get the most for money! So if you like a good roll or even some miso soup then you need to drop by and check it out!!
