Amazing little restaurant in the heart of the city centre! They almost always have a great value for money lunch deal! Even during Christmas! Right now, they have a £10 winter deal coming with a rice bowl, prawn surprise and a drink! Service is great and food is very tasty! There is limited seating so maybe better for smaller groups of people unless you want to sit outside.

A lot more than just sushi … This restaurant is spotless, such a beautiful building inside and the staff are on point. Music was really chill too. It was warm inside. Our waitress was the nicest lady ever ! Portion size was brilliant & reasonably priced, my boyfriend said it’s the best Ramen he’s ever had ! We even got food to take away for later it was soo good , Would definitely recommend!

They have a great deal on atm “ All you can eat Wednesdays” 6-8:30pm for £30pp.

Thankyou team tamaki your staff are lovely !

I ordered what I thought was 2 poke bowls to take away. They were both listed under poke bows on the menu. Turns out Tuna Tataki is not a poke bowl. When I opened it, very hungry, I found a nearly empty bowl with some sliced of cured tuna and some salad leaves. That was it, nothing else.

This was a starter, not a main meal. It cost more than the salmon poke bowl that had loads of rice and amongst other things soy beans, carrots and avocado – what you would expect from a poke bowl.

When I phoned them to say there was no rice with my poke bowl, they asked what I ordered. When I said it was the Tuna Tataki they said Tataki doesn’t come with rice. I asked why it did not say that on the menu. They didn’t really have any answer to that. It felt like I should have known that it doesn’t come with rice. They really should not be listing Tataki under poke bowls or make sure they explain that to customers. I had to buy more food elsewhere, making it an expensive meal.

The fish quality was average. The ramen wasn’t anything too special either. Maybe it’s just me, I feel like the rolls had too much rice for how much filling was in it. The fried rice was really good though. Food portions were nice and large. There were a few crumbs leftover on the surfaces. The staff were nice. A few tweaks would have to be made before I would want to come back though I might have been too strict about it. Thanks for the food.

I was here for a lunch date with a friend. I understand it’s dine in and sit in. Atmosphere was alright but it was cold each time someone opened the door which was frequent as lots of people came in and out. The staff and service was great and we were offered jasmine tea which I enjoyed. And they happily refilled the pot. However I believe the portion size is nothing to write home about. I got the chicken teriyaki and had literally 3 strips of chicken with rice soaked in lots and lots of teriyaki. My friend also wasn’t asked if she wanted veggies in her beef teriyaki and her order came with mushrooms which she didn’t like. I really wanted to enjoy my meal here but ended up going elsewhere after the lunch which was not satisfying enough.
The prawn tempura was really nice and I enjoyed the mochi as well.

Never fails to amaze. Prompt and courteous service in a small, intimate setting. Always busy but you shouldn’t have to wait too long for a table. Tasty and spicy food with Sapporo on draft and very reasonably priced. I had the chicken Ramen (chilli broth). Yummy.

Came in and ordered ONE onigiri. Was told there would be a half an hour wait since it was busy, so it was understandable and I didn’t mind. However I came back after half an hour and I then had to wait a further 30 minutes whilst everyone sitting in was sitting with empty bowls and had been for the last 20 minutes as staff was far too busy accommodating for Just Eats orders. I usually really love it here so I was really let down and disappointed by this experience.

Waiter was good waited 20 mins for an tuna onigiri which costs £7.50 with a tiny slither of meat which wasnt even tuna. Absolute rip salmon burrito was ok but i also witnessed the chef drink directly from the ladle and pur it back. Absolute rip, wouldn’t go back

Pretty small place but the food and portions are lovely and large.

However, we thought the crispy fried salmon meant the salmon itself would be crispy and not the entire sushi burrito being deep fried. Very very oily due to this so would suggest to get a different one
