I love german food and Mt. Angel Sausage Company is now one of my favorite german restaurants. The service was great, the prices were good, and the store had everything you could want. If you are in the area, this is a must go! The beer selection cannot be beat for german beers. I had the jagerschnitzel and the spatzle was the best I have had in a while. The pretzel was unbeatable!

Food was good, they’ve got a huge freezer in the back to buy sausages and other German foods along with a gift shop. Prices were high for what you get. The Town is a really cool German inspired place with a really creepy clock that is going to kill us all eventually.

Tops on all categories!
I’m thrilled with everything here. The restaurant, the store, the service and of course the food. Even the ride there is pleasant, I live about 80 minutes away but find myself here quite often. Chancellor’s Plate is my choice most often. Enormous enough for two but for me it’s so I have plenty to take home. Huge menu you will find so much to choose from it will be hard to pick one!
And if that’s not enough, the store has all the main things you love packaged to go. Apple Strudel ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, sausages, chocolates, is our must takes

We ordered our desert first. It came last after we had eaten most of our dinner. The waitress asked why the dessert hadn’t hardly been eaten. When she was reminded that it had been ordered first 10 minutes before dinner..her response was “that’s what happens sometimes”..Not quite what we were expecting..no offer of taking it off our bill or I’m sorry that it happened that way. Needless to say the service was slow. The food was ok but nothing special.

Rainy-Day Comfort at Mt. Angel Sausage Company

We stopped into Mt. Angel Sausage Company with a friend visiting from out of town, hoping for something hearty on a classic rainy, overcast Portland day. We ordered the combination platter, which comes with five different sausages, fried potatoes, and sauerkraut. All but one of the sausages were really good — flavorful, well-seasoned, and satisfying.

I paired the platter with a delicious cider recommended by our adorable, knowledgeable, and exuberant server, Teresa, whose warmth and enthusiasm added a lot to the experience.

The restaurant has an enormous outdoor patio that we couldn’t take advantage of because of the weather, but it looks like the perfect spot to enjoy a meal on a sunny day.

This was a cool location as most of the buildings are designed uniquely to resemble Germany. We went a day before Oktoberfest so it was a very mellow atmosphere and lots of preparation going on around.

The pricing is a bit pricey for me so we ordered just the one dish and a mini flight and a beer. The total for all of this was about $46.00 not including tip. On the menu it also stated a mandatory tip starting at groups of 8.

Food Review:
The food was absolutely delicious! The mashed potatoes were seasoned perfectly and the green beans were the perfect blend of seasoning with bits of bacon. The sausage was delicious as well. Now the portion size for the price is very tiny you will definitely not have enough for leftovers nor enough to enough to make two people slightly full.

My husband said the beer was good (one size only option)

My flight did not have pricing but the options looked refreshing so I went on a limb ordering it. Only one of the flavours was good to me and the serving size on those are ridiculously tiny you won’t feel even a slight buzz ( I do not drink often so for it not to even do anything says it’s more syrup than anything)

If pricing is not an issue for you I’d say give this place a try. If pricing is an issue I’d say give it a try maybe once as it is delicious but be prepared to spend some money.

While visiting my son and Oregon I had the opportunity to drive around to see some unique places. One of those places was Mount Angel and if you’re hungry make sure you stop at MT Angel sausage Company. This place is awesome! It’s a German store with a restaurant in the back full of candy and delicious food. I had a bavarian burger and it was possibly the best burger I’ve had whole year.

I’ve been here many times, both during the Mt. Angel Oktoberfest and not. The store has tons of high quality frozen items, ranging from just about any kind of wurst you’d want, to bacon, sausage taco meat, you name it. They also have great frozen entrees and desserts. The restaurant is also high quality. Beef stroganoff, schnitzel, burgers, fondue, and great beer. You gotta come here and try it. Prost!

Authentic German food and great service.
They have an excellent menu to choose from and the meat market and store is definitely worth checking out.
The selection of sausages is a bit overwhelming.
Outside seating was perfect for an evening dinner.
