It was the first time my partner ever ate out of Waffle House. The inside was clean the food was delicious and the service was especially friendly. It seems like the entire staff greeted us when we walked in and seemed to be happy. We especially enjoyed our interaction with our server named Mea! She took time to have a friendly chat with us, explain the menu and was very friendly. I hope her manager reads this and gives her kudos for a job well done. I also hope the manager reads this to know that he’s doing a very good job with his store.

I’m almost never disappointed with the Waffle House. The food is always pretty decent. I asked for an order scrambled well on two with cheese, waffle on one, and hash browns scattered well, and covered. The cook slightly overcooked my hash browns when I asked for them to be shattered well and covered. They were a little crunchier than I’m used to. I actually had to tell him to flip them. Other than that, everything was delicious. The eggs were cheesy and creamy the way I like them, the waffle was sweet with the syrup, and the recipe for the waffles, the taste of the cheese, and the preparation has been consistent. That’s what I love most about the Waffle House.
And since I used to work in the Weldon, NC Waffle House many moons ago, I see how underappreciated waitresses and short order cooks are treated, so I’ve made it my own personal custom from the day I left home to move to DC, where isn’t a Waffle House in sight, to tip both the waitress who took my To-Go order and the cook who made it.
The general public needs to start appreciating Food Industry Workers.

Me and my fiancee stopped off at this Waffle House location on our way to the great “Steel City” of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and we both couldn’t be more pleased with our dining experience! We were greeted at the door, told that we could choose wherever we wanted to be seated and our server Tonya was right over to take our order. We received our food within what felt like seconds and everything was phenomenal, especially my sausage patties! I also was complimented on my Simpsons brand sweatshirt and as we ate, I noticed that the entire staff was not only warm and welcoming to the other guests but also to each other. It was truly a beautiful thing to witness and I do believe that they are a tight knit family working together to create a positive dining experience for both regular guests and passersby like myself.

So I generally like a good Waffle House trip, but stopping at this one felt off. I am not sure if it was the layout of this particular one being slightly different than the many others I’ve been to, or maybe the time of the day I came (If you know, you know)
Am I being a bit dramatic? Maybe. But the fact the logo wasn’t on the waffle made me joke that this location is secretly a fake house.
Service was mostly fine, but the waitress we had seemed a bit distracted. Our meals mostly came out correct, but the hashbrowns which were Scattered, Smothered & Covered came out a bit lack luster with only a pinch of onion compared to past experiences.
Food tasted as expected, and overall the cleanliness was as expected for a Waffle House.

Hash brown bowl was very light on bacon, staff seemed dead, manager was cool glad he asked how the food was and had good spirit. Waffle was good, bowl was too just needed more bacon. 3 stars but extremely closer to 4

The incredible service and experience provided by Darnell and the chef at the Carlisle Waffle House made our trip home from Ohio to New Jersey over Memorial Day weekend. Darnell was outstanding, friendly, attentive and with food suggestions that were awesome — particularly the Pork Chops!!
The chef on staff, who unfortunately I did not note her name, was so top notch, too. Everything, including my mother’s crispy waffle, and my side of grits, were done just right. I only wish we had these in Jersey!
And — we got a Waffle House hat 🙂
The next time we do the Pennsylvania Turnpike ride we are definitely stopping here!

My daughter had never been to a waffle house before so we decided to stop at this one on our way back home. The great thing about a waffle house is that you always know what to expect. Really tasty food at very reasonable prices. Not much changes on the inside regardless of what state. In New Jersey we do not have any waffle houses that I know of but there are plenty in Pennsylvania. I could of course be wrong about the waffle house please let me know. The food was good and the service was nice. The bathrooms were a little on the dingy side but were accessible. As you can tell from the pictures my dog Delbert enjoyed all the smells and got to hangout under the somewhat accessible booth. if you go here I would highly recommend the All-Star platter, biscuits and gravy, and of course there are many flavors of waffles. We got regular and pecan waffles when we were there. They were both awesome! If you are a person that likes those really weird students were someone’s hanging out in a diner in the middle of nowhere, that’s what it feels like here. You’re just waiting for someone to come in through that door and start some trouble (LOL). Now it was pretty quiet atmosphere but you just get that feeling. If you let me know how you like the place and food.

Went there last week. It stated out that my husband was seated and I had to use the restroom. Waitress walked up and asked if we were ready to order as she watched me walk to the restroom. He said no we need to wait for my wife. Then she come back to take our order. My husband ordered coffee no cream but asked for a spoon for his sugar. He got creamer no spoon. Part of our order came to our table. The side of bacon had a half of an eggshell ON the slices of bacon. The waitresses didn’t even notice it until she came back with the rest of our meal. My husband then proceeded to eat a slice of toast. When he went to eat the second slice a very long black hair was in the butter on the toast. Neither of us have black hair. That was the end of our dining experience. We paid and left.

The staff here was great. Very friendly and really seemed like they were having fun at work. That was really neat. It made for an enjoyable experience for breakfast. I would definitely stop in the Waffle House again.

Went on 5/11. Place has gone downhill. Crashing and burning. Waited 40 minutes before our order was called. Coffee took 20 minutes to get. It wasn’t that busy at all. Apparently our waitress Hannah was the shift manager but she cause so many issues. 6 complete plates of food went missing. Our food was sitting for 10 minutes after finally being made, yet somehow the eggs were raw AND sitting in a vat of oil on the plate! Awful – Department of Health should visit this location! At least Winnie was awesome. She was the only great employee there.
