We met friends at the Dundee Dell for lunch. It was a fantastic experience. Our drinks were great and I highly recommend the Beeswax Old Fashion! All the food was amazing but this was the best Fish and Chips. Quite possibly better than what I had on the east coast! They claim to be the best in Omaha and world famous. Ithink they are right. I can’t wait to go back to have them again! The reuben was amazing as well with the best tasting corned beef. I highly recommend!

Dundee Dell is a MUST-TRY in Omaha! I recently had the pleasure of dining here with friends, and we had an absolute blast! The atmosphere is cozy and intimate, perfect for a night out with friends or a date.
The food? TO DIE FOR! I highly recommend the Fish and Chips – it’s a game-changer! The fish was cooked to perfection, flaky and tender, and the batter was crispy and flavorful. And the fries? Perfectly cooked, just the right amount of crunch.
But it’s not just the food that impressed us – the service was top-notch! Our server was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They even offered us a few recommendations, which we appreciated.

Server was either new or just very frazzled / busy. She’d come ask if we needed drinks when we hadn’t even gotten the ones we’d ordered 15 minutes prior. Happened twice. Food was hot and delicious. Love the Harry Potter themes during spooky season. Reservations are recommended, not required.

When the menu says “world famous,” you know that’s what you have to order. So, all four of us did exactly that. “World famous fish and chips.” It’s very good. The fish is tender and moist, coated with a light, crisp batter. The tartar sauce is excellent, and not like the usual tartar. The fries (chips) are also very good. In fact, I couldn’t stop eating them, even though I should have stopped. The service is very good, and friendly. I should mention that our food came out very quickly. My only complaint is that there was enough background sound to make conversation challenging. If you’re headed to Dundee, you should definitely give the Dell a try. You may have to park a bit away from the cafe and walk.

Uber eats delivered a piece of fish that was all broken up. The batter was soggy and minimal. There’s nothing world famous about it I’m afraid. I had to reorder and the second time was OK but I expected a decent amount of batter and not fish that looked like it’d been mauled by a dog. The mushy peas were runny and bitty. Very disappointed. This is what I should have got. See the difference? Honestly fed up. Would you want to eat what I got or the other one? The sausage and mash is for tomorrow so can’t comment.

We had a great time at the Dundee dell. We went for happy hour, we started with the fried pickles. They were delightful, breading was the perfect amount and the ranch that came with it was rather tasty. My wife got the 3 sliders and said they were really good. I went with the fish and chips the two piece and it was more than enough food. Especially with the appetizer. The fish was fried well and nice flaky fish. The tartar sauce did need stirred on arrival as it was a little watery but once stirred was really good! Definitely will be back. Best fish and chips I’ve had since London last year.

I just love everything about Dundee Dell! I’ve heard it’s one of the oldest restaurants in Omaha. Since it’s only about a block from us, we just walk over. I’m not a huge fish and seafood fan, but the fish here is absolutely delicious! Connected to the Dell is a whiskey bar that has live jazz on Thursday evenings. What’s not to love? This place is a winner! Tip: Get the “proper cut” fish basket and it’s enough for 2 people to share.

As a Wisconsin gal who was raised on Friday night dive bar fish fries, this is the BEST fish and chips I’ve ever had. The tartar sauce also seemed hommade and had such a great flavor! Harris was my server, phenomenal service as well! Handled a big party table while also giving me and a few other tables great service! My only complaint is I’m in the area too often and I’m scared that my paycheck will pay the building’s rent now!!

The food was good. My sister got the fish & chips, and said the fish was good breading could be better like the older version. Brother-in-law got the mac & cheese, really parmesan tasting. Enjoyed it. I ordered the Wagyu burger carnivore style was good, reminded me of smash burger. Switched fries for some smashed red potatoes they were good.
