I have lived in Mexico and on the Mexican border for decades. Since this white chick has been back in Colorado, I couldn’t find real Mexican food. This place made me the bed damned taco today with delicious and blistering red sauce! I will be back!!

Taco Express can not make breakfast tacos. Apparently, they can only make burritos. I thought they had tortillas and breakfast items but unfortunately they are in capable.

This is the best Taco Express location. Other Taco Express locations need to learn from them. The tacos were hot and delicious. The green sauce is the perfect topping. The employees are so nice and they even let me try out speaking Spanish with them from what I learned. Thank you so much. Check it out, me and my team love it. Salute from an Army Soldier!

I used to work near this place so I’ve gone here a bunch over the years. It’s not going to have the most amazing food, but it’s still pretty solid and is better than a lot of other Mexican fast food restaurants in Colorado. My favorite meat here is the carnitas, although they deep fry the shredded beef tacos and those come out pretty good as well. The carne asada isn’t bad, but usually comes out a little dry. The guacamole is usually solid, and I like paying extra for a side and using it as a dip for my quesadilla.
The hours say it opens at 6am, but I went there once around 5:45 and they took my order. I asked the girl at the window about it because it says open at 6:00 on Google and she said it’s a family-owned one (this is a franchise around Colorado Springs, so I think she meant they only own this specific one?) and said whenever the person opening gets there they will start taking orders. So, if you work early maybe give it a shot but no guarantees.
Also, when it gets busier during the day a lot of people don’t seem to understand that this specific location has a drive-thru on either side of the building. I’ve been there so many times where people will start lining up on the south side because it’s the traditional drive-thru layout where the pick-up window lines up with the driver’s side, and I’ll go around on the other side and get my order before all of the other people who got there before me.
If you want to do “dine in”, there is a small area out front where you can place an order in person and a few tables to eat, but it is all outdoors.

New to the Springs and trying out different places. We stopped here and picked up lunch. The crew was very friendly and helpful. They were able to make one of the dishes completely vegetarian which was awesome. Our order was hot, freshly prepared and full of flavor. Will be back here as we were very impressed with the whole experience.

My Good friend, uncle and I ordered our food. During the the process of eating our food. My Good friend notice a bug in his burrito after taking a few bites. Which climb out of burrito into the wrapping!!!!! At that point he threw the burrito to the ground!!!! He inform the the workers of this incident and they did nothing!!!!!! THE CLEANLINESS OF THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE CHECKED!!!!!!! IT’S A SHAME BECAUSE I LOVED THIS PLACE!! NOT ANYMORE!!!
